Another of your loyal subjects here, LG, although rather late!! I have been a busy girl today and needed to get on this morning before temptation dragged me onto the sofa!

YAL, have you been on the tipple before even going to karaoke!! Trigger happy with the finger, or the dreaded error on here!! :-D :-D

DET, hope everything goes alright for your neighbour. That must have been an awful experience for him.

You lot haven't had any snow because we have had it all here :-D :-D It carried on all night and there was about four inches this morning. Luckily it was working eastwards so cleared by this morning and then we had lovely blue sky, sunshine and it was almost feeling 'balmy' after recent temperature. The roads are clear now and it is melting quite quickly. Heavy rain forecast for later so that should wash it all away!! :-D :-D

Several people have built huge snowmen. Perhaps been listening to the advice of the environment agency saying it takes much longer for them to thaw, so good flood protection!! I look a bit like a snowman myself!! But it's all sanding dust!! Why did I bother paying to have my hair done this morning :-P :-P

Still, needs must!! I need to get the bathroom cupboard finished before they come and fit the new doors. Just been having a quick tea break and I am off to do some more :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

YG you didnt get all the snow cos we got double lol I just made it back home last night and it took us an hour on a 20 minute journey to work even the dual carriage way was not cleared last night here
,i finished at 4 but then went straight to ASDA just got sorted had a pork shank hidden in the fridge for my tea boo hoo A has eaten it lol .
Paula well done with the wardrobe i am going to do mine eventually lol DeT we dont get to put winter or summer stuff away really as we need all wetaher gear most of the time up here

The snow is disappearing very quickly here, Maz. Hoping by tomorrow it will be all gone. :-) :-)

No more forecast now LG. The weather is going to start coming in from the Atlantic instead. I can't believe how quickly the snow has disappeared.

Across the road at lunchtime they built a huge snowman for their little gd. It must have been about 6ft tall. Tonight I can only see about half of it left. I can see the lawn again too!!

It's raining here now and not too cold. Hopefully it is going to melt away the last of this white stuff. YAL's dog was not too enthusiastic about going out in it :-D

Neither is fur here!! He went out this morning but struggled to walk in it as he isn't very big and it was half way up his legs!! He looked quite comical :-D :-D

He is quite a big fella and such a softy. I gave him a good fuss while I was there so he does not feel too lonely. My fur hate the snow they go through the flap and sit under our covered porch and glare at it :-D

Latest weather absolutely pouring down. Just been around to my furry friend again and it's 'orrible :-P :-P :-P :-|. Well off up the wooden hill now so catch you tomorrow sometime. Sleep well everyone <3

sleep shift today but finish in the morning so will be home 9ish ,am looking at all the ice that is out side which is very impacted it is warmer and wet but i think it will be tomorrow when it finally goes

Morning Maz, it looks as though all of the snow and ice as gone today,except perhaps the snowmen :-D. It rained quite heavily yesterday evening and into the early hours. A bit damp and grey here still this morning but preferable to the white stuff.

One wonders if Paula has a ‘head’ today after imbibing in Scotland’s National beverage last night? Hope you had a good time (if you can remember any of it!) Did your OH offer to spend his vouchers on you perchance?

Maz on the G+T? That’s the first time you’ve every mentioned alcohol – lol. That A is a naughty boy. You’ll have to label anything you don’t want him to eat. Do take care if you have to avoid icy patches on your way to work tonight.

And how is YAL? Although you were working, did you also partake?

Sounds as if the messy work is nearly finished YG. Well done Gal!

The snow has virtually gone from here as well, apart from thr remains of a few spoil heaps. I’d only seen one snow man in a front garden, and that looked as if it was about to fall over backwards.

Neighbour seems to be managing. Either the door bell wasn’t working, or they didn’t hear it. The car disappeared later in the day, so he must have felt confident enough to drive. I’ll have another go today in case he does have to have eye drops for a hospital examination. We’ve lived next door to them for nearly 30 years and although we may not see each other for weeks on end, we help each other out. That’s what neighbours do.
