I had an early start then came home from work just getting my brain in order then going to do some chores

If Paula's having both front and rear doors fitted, do wrap up warm - it's going to be rather parky in your house for a bit! At least there is less chance of you being locked in ;-)
What are you going to see at the cinema? Hope you enjoy it and aren't too stiff after your one week break from your keep-fit classes.

Sorry to hear about your back LG. Nasty things backs when they go wrong. Hope its not too serious otherwise you'll be hobbling for a least a week. Its a good exucuse to avoid heavy lifting or even vaccing!

Added - sorry, missed your post GG. Such a shame that your son's stay is nearly over, but at least he had the festive season with you. Perhaps you can visit him, assuming its a safe place to be?

Morning one and all. Back is not too serious methinks as I have managed to do a few little chores. If I do a bit then sit down a bit it seems ok. Good excuse for not doing too much :-D. I will be sitting doing a bit of tree this afternoon so that should help.

Well lodger finally got his keys today so YAY :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D. Privacy back very soon.

LG I am sorry about your, back fingers crossed it will soon be better. DET I have been out of the house all morning, the French doors were in when I got back, the men are working on the front door now. I am wrapped up and just having a coffee. Hoping to go to see The Quartet with DIL, but she texted me whilstI was out, she has had to into work and may not be home, so perhaps not today, but later in the week. I have heard it is a very good film.

That cinema outing seems fated - wait until it comes out on DVD and watch it at a time to suit ;-)

Glad you're home in one piece Maz. I 'think' we've off loaded all of Eldest 'stuff', but still have a lot of BM's. When he does visit, its difficult to pin him down to sort out the wheat from the chaff.
PC is the next to fly the nest (again) in a few months. I suspect that the amount left behind will be related to the storage space in the rental.

Ought to get on with my day before OH has a moan. Have a good one

afternoon well ia hve been busy ,
I came home after a restless sleep on shift ,we are ready to respond to any need and therefore its not a restful sleep .I have done more today than i do when i get up here on a day off maybe i was awake by the time i got home
Tea is in the slow cooker and the washing is drying lol and i have put a branch on my tree that was sat about ,and its on my dads side

Good evening everyone. New doors fitted and looking Très bien. Chicken & Mushroom pie is in the oven with left over veggies from yesterday. It is lashing down with rain and freezing tonight :-( Stay warm.

I am a busy lady and a very angry lady just found my flat roof leaking in it was redone two years ago and now its as bad as it was gues who will be phoning a builder again tomorrow .
My decorator is due to start anytime too so hopefully it wont delay my place being completed
I think the wind has changed direction though

its not however we are on a gable end and the weather comes straight off the pennines so its possible that the felt has moved or the snow has caused damage .

Even so Maz the felt is supposed to be properly joined and sealed.

Exactly so me will attempt not to be too snotty on the phone tomorrow lol
this refurb was supposed to take the stress out of all these issues it is all under warranty

Thank goodness for that Maz. Last thing you would want is having to pay out again

it had better be it was fine til they touched it lol

Sounds like the heating engineers. Boiler is fine until they service it :-|
