+++DetEcTive+++ Report 31 Jan 2013 22:36

Sleep well YG. You ought to keep a supply of those baokins to soak up the water if you have any more leaks. Maz could probably so with some as well!

The sponti wot's it was after having half caught sight of an ad on TV. Rail fares to Edninburgh for £17.

Today's conversation?
Him - what are we doing tomorrow?
Me - a dump run.

That's about as spontaneous as it gets :-(

Morning Maz – pleased to hear that your mum is safe. It’s always a worry when they don’t answer the phone when they should be in. Your imagination runs riot. I bet they either tried to ring her on a non working phone line, or didn’t have the patience to wait until she got to the door. Do you have the old style Power of Attorney? Perhaps you should invoke that, or else ask her to tell the phone company that you can talk on her behalf?

I’m not sure how it came about, but when my dad started to lose it, I was interviewed in my own home by someone from the DWP and a note placed on his file that I was his ‘responsible adult’. I had to show them – or did I offer it? - his POA. It made for a smooth transition when he had his stroke and I rang to tell them of a change of address.

Hope the puddy cat’s problem is easily solved. Don’t dwell on it while you enjoy your film and meal.

Was looking after our great grandaughter this morning,
9months old and full of beans but we coped :-D

As her mum is going back to work part time we were asked
if we would like to look after her 1 or 2 days a week starting
February, we've had a few trial runs and between OH and
myself we want to give it a go. Watch this space :-D

Emma :-)

A baby-sitting Grt Grandma? You must have been a child bride :-D

As long as they don't take advantage of your good nature, it sounds a lovely idea with memories you can treasure.
