Happy Birthday Maz!

Now don't go setting the fire alarm off if they give you a cake with candles on. We know that you and YG are in competition to bag a fireman, but that would be taking advantage! :-D <3

Lucky you probably having a person of historical interest in your tree, although her Maj may start insisting on us calling her HRH for real ;-)
I suppose it makes up for not knowing who your grandfather was. Who knows? You might even be related to Royalty as well!

The Queen has been usurped!

Good morning all - and once again happy birthday to Maz. We hope that all your pressies are the right size/colour/just want you wanted :-D

Glad you 'enjoyed' the film Paula - from the TV trailers, its not really something that appeals to me - too much navel gazing focussing on the Europeans/White people and not much about the locals. Having seen it, you may be able to say differently.

We up graded from the Almond Croissant, and like YG, didn't need a full meal last night. PC was very good and made her own evening meal, even though we were willing to cook something for her. Mind you, she's on Nights for the next 3 shifts and prefers it when we cater.

Morning all and Happy Birthday Maz :-)

Woke up to a covering of snow this morning
but nothing much to talk about looks like it
the same in other parts of the country. Looks
like we are in for more here as sky is full and
its started to snow again.
Take care all and stay warm.

Emma :-)

Morning GG - fingers crossed that nothing more falls from the sky, or if it does is soon dispatched!

Having various contacts on here from different parts of the country, it does make watching the UK weather forecast more interesting. How is GG getting on? Or Oh dear, Maz is in for it!

120 miles per hour recorded on top of 4,000 ft Cairngorm,
hope it stays there :-D
76 miles per hour on the islands Tiree, Islay and South Uist
and 60 foot waves off Lewis, so not bad where I am :-D :-D

Happy Birthday Maz, have a great day :-D
Good morning everyone. This morning in the space of thirty minutes we had glorious sunshine turning to light snow, as I was driving to school becoming heavier; upon leaving school three hours later back to sunshine, it is very cold but I can cope with that. I hope you are all OK and weather conditions are being kind to you.
DET the film focussed on one family ( I think they were originally Spanish but portrayed in English for the film). It followed them through the awful hours following the tsunami. It showed the wonderful local people who came to their aid, it was very emotional watching them tend to the victims with such love and care. It showed the chaos and the dedicated medical teams trying so valiantly to care for thousands of people with primitive resources. If I am being very honest I would say film lapsed into a thin rather storyline in later parts, where the family keep missing one another despite being in the same spot are overdone, but it earns a whole lot of points for its realism and technical craft. The tsunami itself was terrifically realised with nature portrayed in all its terrifying, indiscriminate fury. The tsunami killed 230,000 people across Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and 11 other countries clearly they all have their own stories to tell.
