Well one large black bag of rubbish later I am now on strike until tomorrow at least. Amazing the stuff I kept thinking it might come in handy. My new Brownie leader is relieved as she does not have a lot of storage space.

evening all ,My carpets will need doing when all this work is done He has nearly finished the hallway today .and it looks so much better ,

I've only got carpet in 2 rooms which will get cleaned when I finally start spring clean The rest are all laminate so it's a wet mop job :-D

No, I haven't fallen asleep!!! I have actually been working this evening!! Work, work, researching some contact details for upper crusts that are required urgently for an invitation list. I must be mad, considering how they are treating half the people at work, but it has kept me out of mischief :-D :-D

Good morning everyone. I hope all is well with you today. So much hard work and Spring cleaning going on, I have just a few chores this morning then out for dinner this evening. OH has had his letter from work to say he will be made redundant on the 25 October which is good news for him as they have all been working with the sword of Damocles hanging over their heads for the past 15 months. DET I hope the steam cleaning goes well for you. MAZ :-D How cat hates disruption of any sort and walks around the house sulking and moaning. :-D :-D

25 Oct will give Paula’s OH a few more months to save for the future. It might have been more pleasant to start his retirement in the spring or summer, but at least it’s more money in the bank.

Still waiting for OH – all the smaller pieces of furniture shifted out to the living room. He’d better not trip over them when he comes down the stairs. We’re probably the laziest on here when it comes to the dreaded, so when we do get round to it, it’s a ‘deep clean’.

Paula, enjoy your dinner out this evening, you lucky girl. Is your OH content about finishing work and looking forward to the rest? I hope he's not stressed out about it. Our people that are at risk finally find out next Monday whether their consultations have provided an alternative, but I am extremely doubtful. I think they have just been going through the motions :-( :-(

We have had a full trustee meeting over the last couple of days and what a set of ********* they are :-D :-D It is the first time that it has been held at our office and they are the most ignorant people I have ever met, with the odd couple of exceptions. Nothing is right for them, they complained that they had the same finger buffet two days running and hated the overnight accommodation that they requested in the first place. Hope none of their wives are on GR and read this otherwise I will be lined up against the wall and shot :-D :-D :-D :-D

I have finally managed to get to the gp about my shoulder and have to have cortisone injections first, to see if it works. If not, off to the hospital I go! Lovely :-D :-D

Yes, carpet cleaning all done and dusted, with the machine returned with 45 minutes to spare. We did the living room as intended, and this, the back room extension. On the plain living room carpet you could see stripes between the clean and dirty although the water wasn’t too cloudy. The waste water from this room was treacle coloured. Yuk! We’re going to have to redecorate this room as well.

Sorry to hear about your shoulder. So it wasn’t just overdoing it then which rest would cure? A right nuisance, poor you.

If/when you retire, you ought to write an open letter to the papers about Trustees. Remind them that they are working for a Charity, and funding is supposed to go towards the aim of the charity, not to give them luxurious accommodation or food!

Hope you enjoy your meal out Paula. As you’ve been to a Toby’s can you answer a question please? The sign out side one locally says ‘All you can eat breakfast for £x” but we drive past too quickly to see if there is an ‘until’ time. OH rather fancies the idea!!!

DET, according to the Toby website, they stop serving breakfasts at 10.30am to give them time to prepare lunches. Eat as many sausages, eggs, slices of bacon etc as you like.

Can you get your OH up early enough :-D :-D

He likes his tum to be full, but not at the expense of his bed :-(

Just catching up reading your yesterdays news that I missed. I had not slept at all the night before last due to the trouble so made up for it by falling asleep just after tea and not waking properly again until 6.30 this morning. Oh who the heck would be a parent ;-) :-D :-D
