Morning Maz, we have 2 cats needing homes if you change your mind.

Just sat down doing the household accounts then up and at the chores. :-P :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 7 Mar 2013 10:50

Don't send spare cats here - they sound far too much trouble! Using toothpaste or salt as a mild scourer is good for getting paint off hard surfaces. PC used a tube of paste when she moved out of Halls to get rid of hair dye in the wet room; she was going through her pillar-box red phase! :-0 :-D

YG - Hope you enjoyed, if you could, your special time today. While she is a lady of leisure, you could try and make it a weekly event. Fingers crossed she finds something soon. Its possibly worse losing your job when others are keeping theirs rather than everyone going.

Had an idiot of a boy today. He sat the Foundation paper, then after we had collected them, said that he thought he should have sat the Higher. :-|
Had to get that checked out with the Head of Faculty and class teacher before having to tell him he was entered correctly for the Foundation as it was easier to get a C on that. One unhappy teenager.

As PC is in for an evening meal on Saturday, OH fancies one of M&S's Dine in for 4. We might go there either today or tomorrow to purchase it.

Hello everyone. I have been out and about today, and the weather is just so awful, I have been back an hour and only just got myself warm. I just having a cup of tea, and then will start dinner. Smoked Haddock, and I am trying something new. Line little muffin tins with ham crack in one egg little salt and pepper, bake in low oven for 10 minutes I will tell you how it goes. :-)

YG Report 7 Mar 2013 20:09

Evening all.

Please don't send any cats up here, LG. He left me a pressie on the lounge carpet again when I got home this evening, so no more chicken for him!!

Lunch was lovely, though a little rushed in the hour that we had, but we have a leisurely one with a few people tomorrow. Pressies all wrapped and ready, but already been mopping up a few tears for her today as some colleagues don't work on Fridays so have been saying goodbye today.

I am on holiday in another couple of weeks so we are planning on having a day out together, and whilst she isn't working she will meet me for lunch every couple of weeks.

The youngest one that is being made redundant has found a job in Leeds with a huge £9000 pa increase on what she earns at our place, so there has been some celebration for her today!! And, more importantly, it gives some of the others hope that there is something out there.

I had a really bad night last night and ways still prowling around at 2.45 with the alarm set to go off at 6am, so I think an early night might be in order tonight.

I hope you got your M&S meal for the weekend, DET!! Enjoy, if you did :-D :-D

Evening all.

YG he only did that cos he loves ya ;-). I could not sleep either finally nodded off about 4.30 then woken by a small person at 6.45 telling me she loved me. Now how could I be cross :-D.

YG

YG Report 7 Mar 2013 21:26

Well you couldn't be cross at that LG!! But I could when I got in tonight.

I don't get it really. He has been fine on this cooked chicken for a couple of weeks, but all of sudden he isn't keeping it down again. He has been out eating grass tonight and had a dish of ordinary cat food and that seems to be ok at the moment! :-D :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 7 Mar 2013 21:34

I have to be careful giving my Fuzzy chicken, lamb or salmon. If it is the flavour in the catfood she is fine except for Salmon in any form

YG

YG Report 7 Mar 2013 21:52

Duffy can eat salmon, but is very choosy over the makes of food that he will eat and keeps changing his mind :-D :-D I find something he likes and then wont eat it the next time I buy it. I think I have spoilt him and I am now leaving his food down for longer. I know if he doesn't touch it all then it has to go, but often he will sneak in during the night and clear his dish when he know he won't get anything else!! :-D :-D

Sorry to have to leave you, LG, but I really need to catch up on that lost sleep last night. It will be a difficult enough day tomorrow without feeling kn***ered as well :-( :-(

I'll catch you tomorrow evening, hopefully.

Sleep well yourself tonight! <3 <3

LaGooner Report 7 Mar 2013 21:56

Same as mine although since H's 2 have been here they have taken to eating the cheapest brand which is what the others are happy with.

Nite nite YG sleep well, I may not be long going of myself in case of another early morning call, Bless. <3. Catch you tomorrow.

Morning all -

Hope that today brought smiles as well as tears for you YG. At least you can look forward to being a lady wot lunches in a few week's time. How wonderful that the youngest 'to go' has landed a new job. If she can't move, then the rise ought to cover the communiting costs. BM went to Uni there and loved the place. If there had been a job in his field, he would happily have stayed.

We didn't go out yesterday - hopefully today. We spent the afternoon putting the vac around upstairs, then I cooked from scratch.
OH has downloaded some sort of 3D design programme or other, and is immersed in playing with that given half the chance. At least it is more constructive than spider solitaire :-0

Paula, how did your baked eggs in ham turn out? Thinking about it, I did wonder if the ham 'nest' would collapse when you took it out of the patty tins. Have you thought of using Ramekins?

LG - you'll have to introduce a child free zone for your sleeping quarters, unless H has had to go to work early.

;-)

Good afternoon everyone . It ssems to me that our pets have a better life than some people. OH said if he comes back he wants o be a cat!. DET eggs turned out great, I sprayed a little olive oil in the tins first, I checked oven a couple of times, and turned it off before ten minutes, they lifted out of the tins perfectly :-D :-D. We are waiting for the little ones to arrive, OH practising FE FI FO FUM ;-) <3 <3 <3.

Who on earth mentioned snow!! :-P :-P :-P :-P Oh, yes, Maz and the weather forecasters :-P :-P :-P

I hope your two sleepovers go by quietly, Maz. Not good, having them close together like that. :-(

Pleased to hear the eggs turned out alright, Paula. Well done! Enjoy the little ones tonight. They always bring pleasure don't they :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 8 Mar 2013 21:58

Evening YG. We have had it nearly all day, not at all pleasant :-|

YG

YG Report 8 Mar 2013 22:09

No, it has been really dreary, murky and horribly damp here all day. It now looks quite clear out there, but it's still wet.

We had a lovely 2 hour lunch today and plenty of laughter and tears, but it has really been terribly draining.

I fell asleep tonight and didn't wake up till 9pm. Was glued to Piers Morgan interviewing Torvill & Dean until R phoned to invite me out to dinner tomorrow evening,so that is something to look forward to. I have missed half of the programme so am watching it again on ITV+1.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 8 Mar 2013 22:12

I have not really watched anything tonight as I decided to have a very long pamper session and shower. I feel so relaxed it is wonderful. No mini Gooners for the weekend as they are with daddy. H is working both days so we can get a bit of us time. :-D

YG

YG Report 8 Mar 2013 22:28

It's good to hear that you are feeling good after your session :-) :-)

And what a treat to have time for the two of you this weekend. Little ones, no matter how good, can really sap your energy can't they, especially at our age :-D :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 8 Mar 2013 22:49

They can indeed, Littliest one was with me all morning and she had one of her moods on. Defiant or what !. Thank goodness my son visited and wore her out with loads of very active things, As we went to fetch larger one from school and H from work she fell asleep in the car Oh bliss. Once she had had her little nap she was a much happier child :-D
