Morning LG - nothing is as straight forward as they seem. I can understand not having a car, but why on earth can't a young woman drive? :-S

A course of lessons was always the 17th birthday present for ours. Mind you, when they lived at home, they needed to be able to drive to have their 'freedom'. Once they passed, we paid for the 1st year's insurance, and the repairs for the 1st prang.

Stupid error messages, but actually you are right I have been sneezing.

I agree about the error messages, Paula. I am getting them every time I post :-P :-P I have now closed down GR on my favourites and gone back in through google to see whether that makes any difference.

DET, it is awful at work. There is a total of four that we are aware of that have been successful, one of them applying for the job that he is already doing (with a couple of tweaks) and doubtless a drop in salary :-P :-P The rest are expecting to finish on Friday with 3 months pay in lieu of notice. All of a sudden this week the hierarchy have suddenly realised that there will be no-one to finish the projects and are now going to be asking some to stay for a few more days (tax implications if it runs into the new financial year) and a couple have new jobs to start after taking a week or two off. They are not happy :-( :-( They have reduced the IT team by 50% giving the young guy who was the apprentice until recently, all the tasks to do in place of the two who are leaving. It is absolute madness :-S :-S :-S

LG, pleased to hear that H is getting sorted, to a degree anyway. It will be a relief for you, I'm sure. It's about time your OH taught her to drive!! :-D :-D

Maz, don't be gone for long!! I'm sure the fibre optic will a lot more efficient for you.

Mine is tucked up at the side of me, head buried in paws, but he doesn't purr :-D :-D

I now have one of H's, Chicco (he's the siamese/bengal) curled up on my legs giving me a small friendly nip now and then until I tickle his ears. Daft creature ;-)

Just had an email from my cousin. Her mum (my last remaining Aunt) has been diagnosed with bone cancer, a mass on the lung (she's never smoked) and queries with her bladder. On the face of it, its not looking good.

We aren't close, but all the same............ :-( :-(

I'm'm getting into gear for a very distressing day tomorrow saying goodbye to several colleagues. I have a feeling there are going to be lots of tears, a few bevvies at lunch time and more tears :-( :-(
