Good morning everyone. I hope you are all ok. We have been busy over the last few days, time seems to fly by. We have family with the little ones over to lunch today <3e Nothing found to be wrong with computer, but there are onging problems with the telephone line. We are now thinking of changing our internet provider. Happy Saint Patrick's Day if it applies to you. Have a good day.

Morning all –

Well done with the purchase LG. I never seem to see anything I like or which fits when I pop into a charity shop. I used to use them to source reading matter, but since being given a Kindle a year ago, can usually find ‘free’ ones to download. Enjoy the meeting of the clan today.

So glad you had a day off from the decorating yesterday YG – give your shoulder a chance to repair.

Paula – at least your pooter should be running a lot faster now that it has been tinkered with! I did find that GR was running very slowly on Friday during the day and thought it might have been our connection so rebooted. That didn’t make much difference. It did speed up during the evening. I wonder if they were tinkering or had one of the servers off line?
Enjoy your time with family.

Is Maz working, or have I missed a post?

Yesterday was actually quite constructive – caught up with the ironing, made carrot and coriander soup, and cooked the evening meal after having planned and prepped it earlier. Normally it’s a case of looking in the fridge and working out what can be constructed from left overs.
OH had the Rugby on all day. Really disappointed with the England Wales game – England missed a lot of opportunities and OH thought the Ref had it in for them. He might have the F1 on this afternoon. Deep joy. Not.

Quite envious of your possible away-day YG. Despite having the time and savings, we seem to bunker down at home for most of the time. The furthest we’ve been recently is the shopping centre 5 miles down the road for coffee.

Morning all, just taking my first shot of caffeinne to start the day. I am wondering if Maz is having internet problems as she had something changed this week didn't she ? Littlies for you too Paula mine were having a sleep over with friends last night so we actually got a bit of a lie in.

Morning LG - she went over to fibre optic, but did post after it was done. It's possible that there have been problems since then, but A might also have been taking advantage of the high speed connection to play games :-0 :-D

Glad you had a lie in. The wretched person who goes out at 7.15 woke me, but I managed to nod off for a further hour. Funny how the milk delivery c5.30 doesn't disturb us!

Morning DET I woke up about 5 for some reason this happens every morning for a spell of about 2 weeks then stops for a while then happens again. My son who lives 2 miles up the road has it happen too and we are wondering if it is something to do with the RAF airfield that we both border on. Summertime harvest can be hell as tractors are up and down the road here quite early :-|

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 17 Mar 2013 10:00

See if you can both keep a diary - you could be right about the same source of noise. It might be interesting to contact the airfield to see if (after the event) they can confirm the that is what's happening.

Eldest and co live a couple of miles from Gatwick. You'd have thought they'd get a lot of noise, but they seem to be in the 'hole' that planes circle round. They only hear the planes if the wind is in the wrong direction when they fire-up first thing in the morning. ;-)

Oh joy just looked at the weather and surprise surprise it is pouring with rain again :-P

Grrr a bit of a walk from parking to church but if I am crafty OH can drop me off at church gate and then walk back himself. If I ask him nicely that is ;-) :-D :-D

Morning!! Lovely sunshine here!! We had rain during the evening and night but it is lovely at the moment. Won't last long though.

Naughty LG, letting your OH get wet!!

DET, it will be the first time I have ventured anywhere since we met up at Peterboro! My weekdays are work and weekends taken up with cleaning, gardening, decorating!! The most exciting thing is a 7 mile drive to the supermarket. My car has a mind of it's own and knows exactly where it is going :-D :-D I haven't even had the pleasure of a train journey to the Smoke for a meeting, as I don't have to go now!!

We had laugh on the way home from work on Thursday. I normally give a lift to two colleagues. I drop one off at the bus stop as she lives quite a way out and it saves her having to get a bus into town to get the next leg of the journey, and the other one stays at her boyfriends 100 yards up the road from me. One colleague was on leave, so I could have turned left onto our estate much sooner instead on going on to where I drop her off, but did I??? NO, the car went on it's normal route on auto pilot :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 17 Mar 2013 10:51

That's funny YG.
I know I've turned left onto the main road to go to school, instead of right to go to play group. OH used to say that he wondered how he got to somewhere as he was auto pilot - I used to have to yell at him to take the right turning so that he *didn't* end up at work :-D

Not a bad idea asking/telling OH to drop you off outside the Church LG ;-)

Flipin white stuff - winter seems to be lasting a long time this year. :-(

YG

YG Report 17 Mar 2013 19:16

Evening.

It has been snowing here too, but as Maz said, it is wet so hasn't settled, but freezing temperatures forecast overnight. Serves me right for boasting about the sunshine this morning :-D :-D

A pile of ironing done at long last!! Still a little more to do, but at least it's not climbing up the wall now :-D :-D I have been watching dvds while ironing, so quite a relaxed day really. Done a bit of undercoating so ready for top coat during the week and then I have finished :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I have decided to get someone in to paint the internal doors. I have had enough now.

Morning one and all. Christening was lovely except for a vicar who liked the sound of her own voice so much so the service dragged on for an hour !!!. What a laid back baby he is, not a sound from him all afternoon and evening.
Got loads of the dreaded to catch up on today so will be back on later hopefully. Have a good day one and all <3 <3 <3

Morning LG - glad to hear there were no tears. Do they warm the water up now? I'm afraid that our large family gatherings tend to be mainly Despatches with the occasional Match thrown in.

Off out this morning to the County town. Part of our stereo system needs replacing so its either there or the branch at the top of the in-laws home. I think OH doesn't want to feel obliged to pop into his parents as they can't just give us a coffee - its a full meal and all day, or nothing.

I'll give him another 10 minutes, then he is being dragged out of bed. :-D
