Morning YG. I think I have OH's cold coming. I woke up to a rotten headache and sore throat and could not get back to sleep. Just having a scond caffeinne blast before going for my ablutions. Order of the day will be decided then :-D

ooh no :-( I did warn you about going out with next to nothing on :-D :-D You've let the frost get at parts that nothing else can reach except germs :-D :-D :-D

I intend to family are not back until about 7 this evening :-D. I have got some letters to write later so that will keep me out of mischief ;-)

I have a little bit of sanding to do by hand to finish off the framework round the new glass panel in the kitchen and a small of amount of painting to do in the bathroom and then I am done!!!! Everything can go back in the shed until next year!! Whoo hoo!!

I am off to get my brekkie and put another load in the washer. It is quite breezy, but not sure about the temperature as I haven't poked my nose out of the door yet!! I hope I can get some on the line otherwise it will be like a chinese laundry :-D :-D

(Sprays disenfectant on the PC Screen) Sorry to hear that you have come down with the lurgy LG. There's some nasty versions about. You'd have though that the cold will have killed the bugs of, but probably our steamy CH/air con buildings only help them to thrive :-0

Has the painter been to give a quote yet YG? Is that why you are all ready to great the day? :-D :-D

No plans for us, other than to expect a visitor late afternoon/early evening who is coming to get PC to sign a passport application. She's S African, he's a US airman, the child was born in England. They don't know anyother British people who have known the mum for 3 years! They will have been travelling for a couple of hours to get here. Should I be prepared to feed them, do you think? The living room certainly isn't toddler friendly (the older child is about 2 - PC had to sign that one's PP form as well)

OH has decided to contact the CH engineer tomorrow. Hurrah! It's probably the idea of this cold weather into April what did it!

Morning DET. Perhaps light refreshments for your visitors as I am sure they would welcome it travelling in this weather.

I finished up having a reasonably lazy day. The ironing basket is still sitting here and I haven't done the bit of painting, but there's always another day!!

Yes, DET, I did get the quote. A bit more than I hoped for, but at least the doors will be done. He is starting tomorrow morning.

What a lovely feeling knowing that I don't have to go to work tomorrow :-) :-) :-) :-)

Evening all, Lazy day for us too. Only just had our tea and sat down for the evening.

The internet speed + GR was mucking about earlier when I tried to post, so gave up!!!

Visitors came and went but declined even a cup of tea. Mind you, they did have 2 hour drive back to Suffolk with an 18 month and a 9 month baby! The elder was a bit clingy so the worries about not being child-friendly were unfounded. The youngest was a dream and would go to anyone, burbling and chewing knuckles as they do at that age. OH was quite clucky!!

Good to hear that your painting will be finished quite soon YG. Pity that you’ve still got to get up fairly early though.

Off to bed shortly – catch you tomorrow if the internet doesn’t come to a grinding halt.

Morning LG - Like you, I did wonder if ice had got into the junction box. Most sites with a lot of graphics are being effected, not just GR. It's like having your hand cut off!! :-0

Might run a speed test later - yesterdays result was at dial-up speed. :-|

Good morning everyone, like most people our we have been experiencing problems with our computer much to the frustration of OH, who always likes things to "work". Also our SKYE is down and seems it will be so until the snow clears. I have an easy day today, no Yoga class till after Easter. I am trying to source a replacement handle for my GTECH carpet sweeper, I have already sent for one giving the product code, and it turned out the handle comes in three parts and guess what? they sent the wrong part!
