morning all ,Well its not raining, and its not sunny ,and its not dry so what is it doing lol just for a change ? i woke up saw the snow went back to sleep til about 8.30 then feeling guilty so i got stuck in to the chores .
Cleo has been alone most of the weekend so she is being a monkey getting into mischief to get my attention .
LG i hope you enjoyed your weekend ,and YG at least you can choose what to do inspite of the weather ,I am off til thursday sleep shift .but working all weekend then ,
Paula my sky is playing up and also the server in this area is down for a lot of the signals i think the weather has taken its toll .

Oh what a difference just getting the primer/undercoat on the doors. I need sunglasses on now!! Well at least I can pretend, as we are certainly not getting any sunshine outside! :-D :-D

The snow is clearing fast, just bits clinging to the roof tops and pavements, but the roads are clear. It is still biting cold, though :-P :-P

Had another very lazy day and am having my hair coloured tomorrow morning, so after that I must get a move on and finish the last bit of painting so that I can get the carpet tiles laid and do some spring cleaning :-( :-(

You must be ‘well pleased’ to have the painting nearly finished. Fingers crossed that the fur doesn’t brush up against it while it is still tacky.

Our internet has speeded up….in line with temperatures slightly above freezing – perhaps it was the cold which upset it after all! Hope everyone else’s is nearly back to normal.

What will you do with yourself without any keep fit Paula? More running up and sown the stairs? What a nuisance that the part they sent for the cleaner was the wrong one. At least you have an excuse for doing less of the dreaded – lol

It was nice to be able to cuddle a baby, and would love a grandchild of our own, but it was good to hand her back. Cuddles are good, but I prefer them when they can interact more.

We went out for a coffee this afternoon as OH was getting stir-crazy, and to warm up. CH engineer coming sometime tomorrow, thank goodness. At least the CH is working, even if not at 100% efficiency.

A large lump of cooked beef is calling to be turned into something else. Possibly a curry today and Shepherd/esses s pie tomorrow.

Tomorrow is going to be the difficult day with fur, when the top coat goes on!! Having said that, he stays pretty much in the same place all day, unless he wants to go out and the doors are wide open, so hopefully everything will be ok :-D :-D

You can send some shepherd's pie over tomorrow, DET, if there is any going spare :-D :-D

evening I dont get overtime unless i go over my contract .the sleep is a set rate from 10 to 8 .I can get Toil also if i bank my overtime .
I dont mind working the easter i enjoy days off on my own lol

CH man coming this morning, so it will be necessary to get dressed earlier than the norm. As far as anything else. I keep looking at the dirty glass panes in the interior doors so might actually get round to cleaning them...or direct OH to have a go :-D

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are all ok and managing to get on with things during this dreadful weather.

I have been to school for this morning for my voluntary session, today year 3 performed the end of term play. It was based on the lives of children in the second world war, and I don't mind telling you I was on the verge of tears, everyone was just superb, the staff and children had put so much hard work into it and the costumes were so cute and very accurate for the period. They sang and danced to songs of the era, and we all joined in (singing not dancing). It was fun and enjoyable, but also left the children with a little bit of an insight into the lives of the children living back then.

Doors painted and finished >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> except I have just realised why the privacy lock on the bathroom door doesn't work. I was waiting for the joiner to come back and fit the cupboard doors and he was going to check it out, but his young guy has used the original latch and it needs a bathroom latch!! This now means cutting out some more of the door to fit a larger one, so I hope they don't damage the paintwork. Arggghhhh!! :-( :-( :-(

Am just off to finish the ironing after a quick break. Catch you all later :-)

afternoon all well i have rearranged my kitchen as in worktop stuff managed to get the iron in a cupboard it has sat out for two years .I have got Pictures dusted and back on the walls .some of which i have chucked out
My downstairs loo walls have become the place to put all the odd things i want to keep little ornaments and plaques .so its looking quite good as its only small .
Froggy was down today so have been out for lunch two meals for a tenner deal at the local pub chain .We were caught by A leaving the garage with the school bus so he will be chuffed as his tea is yesterdays revamped lol .
There is a new bus service btween Froogy's and mine now its easier to get there but the last one back is 5.30 and dont run sundays and bank holidays

I have ordered the carpet tiles though for the bathroom, which waylaid me somewhat and vacuumed after the painter had removed all the dust sheets. Oh and I made a stew for dinner!

Morning all.

Panes of glass didn’t get cleaned yesterday after all, but I did manage to fill in a PPI claims form and get him to check and sign it! Not sure if we are out of time, or even eligible, but for the cost of a stamp and a couple of hours sorting out, it might be worth it.

OH is at work at the moment, but only for a 30 min session; he ought to be back by 0930. Remember I asked about Breakfast at Toby’s Carvery a while back? Today’s the day! The down side is that I’ll have to get dressed much sooner than usual.

The children’s assembly sounds interesting Paula. Although born after WW2, its still in living memory. It seems strange to think that it’s now ‘history’ to the current generation of school children.

There was a travelling exhibition which went round schools a few years ago about Victorian/Edwardian life. Amongst the artefacts was a family Bible which recorded various handwritten births and marriages. There was a 1915 marriage, then a few months late, the original telegram saying that the Groom had died. So sad.

Hope you enjoyed the lunch Maz. Will the new bus service help cut down on travelling time for Frog? At least it could mean that he can get to yours more easily even if he gets the other one back after 5.30. Is it meant for school days only? It seems rather odd not to have a reduced weekend service!

Pity you’ve come down with a cold YG. Have you noticed that often happens when we have time off work? Perhaps it’s the work related adrenalin which would normally fight it off, and you’ve had a lot of that lately!

Hope yours is not any worse today LG. If its any consolation, I’m coughing and nose blowing more frequently.

What a lazy morning!! This has to stop as I have loads to do and I am getting nowhere :-D :-D I think I need to banish the lappie to a secret hiding place until the jobs are done :-D :-D

I think I have thwarted the cold. I still have a tickly throat but have spent all night smelling the paint and it hasn't been very pleasant :-( :-(

Afternoon have been busy today stuffed some junk in loft ,got more washing sussed,
been to buy some new pans had a voucher so about 15% off ,my le cruset set are too heavy to use now and they are going to N at weekend with A as he is visiting her with new GF .so peace this weeekend shame I am working the weekend .
DET there are places up here that have no buses from sat teatime until monday morning and some only have three buses a day or a week even .
Where froggy is the last bus is 7pm sat night none on sunday at all the nearest bus is a mile away .and that only runs in the afernoon .On sunday my first bus is 10 am hence i use the contract taxi service when A is away .County Durham is very rural and the councils have withdrawn a lot of subsidy's on the bus routes .our taxi fares are a lot cheaper here though they are priced and not metered
LG and YG stay away lol hope you feel better soon .

Well I have finally got motivated today. I don't know how long it will last though!!

I have cleared out the kitchen cupboards, done the ironing and re-grouted the bathroom tiles :-D :-D

Tomorrow is a day of relaxation, as my friend that finished at the office is visiting for coffee and catch up. We are then meeting the last two leavers in the pub at lunchtime.
