:-D :-D

Our pile of paper is dwindling - it's amazing that if you leave it long enough, it doesn't seem quite so essential to keep/do something about ;-)

I'm here!

Morning all - no idea what we did for most of yesterday; the time just went. I did produce dinner rather early, probably because I was bored.

Paula - the sun has taken his hat off darn suff at the moment, but it probably won't last. Hope you enjoyed him while he was with you.

Depending on whether I need a Nanny nap this afternoon, I might review the stock of seeds stored in the fidge and get some seed compost. Some of the pernicious weeds have poked their heads up out of the ground and need at some point to be decapitated.

Morning DET. I looked out of the bedroom window this morning and decided my garden is an absolute eyesore. I think I will get bigger littlie out there with me next week as she will still be on Easter break. Both mini Gooners love gardening so plenty of things to keep them busy ;-) :-D. I gave my oven a really good clean yesterday and by the time I had picked up H from work and popped in Asda my day had gone.

Off out to town a bit later when OH emerges :-D Then over to sort out my little family issue :-|

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 6 Apr 2013 10:13

Yuk - loathe cleaning the oven. OH said that he will do it........................about 6 months ago. I bought some sort of 'add liquid to a bag and soak the racks' a while ago, but haven't got up the courage to use it yet.

Lucky you having 'help' in the garden - ours have never shown any interest although I can trust PC to water pots when we are away. Her b/f enjoys it and took it upon himself to have a good tidy up and cut-back last time. And a very good job he did!

Haven't heard from PC about the results of the interview yet. She said she'd let us know. :-|

Enjoy your morning out, when you get round to it.

I use the soak in bag for rungs, absolutely brilliant. My stepson had a good go at all the shrubs,trees etc in the Autumn. He used to do landscaping and tree cutting so they are all reasonably restrained :-D.

I still have my fingers crossed for PC. H has an interview next week for another position at the home she works at, lets hope she gets it as she will be working better hours and will see more of littlies

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 6 Apr 2013 10:47

Certainly fingers crossed for H. She has the experience now. With both the girls, at least they have a job and something better might come along if they aren't successful.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 6 Apr 2013 10:52

That's very true DET. She does not really want to move from this home now though as the bother she had a while back now seems to have stopped. Plus it is convenient for girls nursery and school.

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 6 Apr 2013 11:05

That's a bit like PC. The Manager is being re-deployed to another ward. However, she does need more experience in a slightly different area to increase her chances in a training position.

She says she'll stay as a HCA for a couple of years, and it she can't get a training position, she might train as a Nurse. More expense, so she/they will have to move back home, or we'll have to try to support her living expenses :-|

A bit more difficult with H as she has dependents to consider

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 6 Apr 2013 11:06

Nursing has always been H's aspiration. Only trouble is they keep changing the way training etc is undertaken.

YG Report 6 Apr 2013 12:49

Afternoon everyone. I am here!!

I finished the last bit of painting when I got in from work yesterday. Had to!! They came to fit the carpet tiles this morning. Yippee!!!! I can now put all the tins and brushes away and forget about them.

I must confess to just lazing on the sofa last night!! it has been a difficult week and I needed to chill out.

Am off to do the food shopping shortly. Oh joy, I love it >>>>>>>> NOT!!

It is reasonable weather here today, but still a little chilly, Depending what it is like tomorrow, I might venture out into the garden and start getting rid of those little perishers that start to appear! I have dead headed the hydrangeas, but need to sort out the pots and put some fresh compost in. I am just a little worried whether there are any ants nests at the bottom of them :-D :-D

Good morning everyone. I have used the add liquid to a bag and soak the rack, a few times to clean inside the oven, it works extremely well, best if you ca do it on a regular basis. I also use my steam cleaner ( well I suppose you guessed that already). OH and all the "Boys" have been here, and now gone to the football match, they meet in the pub early to avoid the crowds!!!! @ LG I introduced your team into the conversation (even though I know nothing about football), they were all very complimentary about your team and said they are always in the top four in the league, I said I would pass on the compliment to my "friend" . Plans have changed for this evening, we are going for a Chinese meal. YG so pleased you have finished painting, are you taking orders for work? I am left to my own devices today, so anything might happen.

The sun is shining, I only went out to the rubbish bin, and fill up the bird station, it is still very cold. So wrap up warm if you are in the garden. Have a good day everyone.

YG Report 6 Apr 2013 16:44

Sorry Paula, no orders being taken!! I am sick to death of the sight of paint brushes. I have had four months solid of it and enough is enough :-D :-D

It is lovely here, especially in the front garden where it catches the sun all afternoon' however, I have chickened out of the gardening today! I've done the vacuuming, dusting, washing and food shopping. I am now relaxing until tea time :-D :-D

PollyinBrum Report 6 Apr 2013 16:52

YG :-( :-(

I imagine you are glad it's all finished, bet it is lovely to sit and relax, and can now enjoy your cuppa. I have been doing a few chores too, just fed the cat she is a pain in the rear-end when she wants feeding. The sun is shining here, but still extremely cold, I have just opened the door to a young man from RSPCA, he looked so cold, he said it is forecast for snow.
