YG Report 7 Apr 2013 09:51

Morning Maz.

I hope you don't get the rain that is forecast for this coming week then, otherwise we will all be tucked away indoors yet again!!

Trying to keep my garden tidy is like painting the Eiffel Tower! If the weather interrupts for a few days, what I have already done is ready for doing again before I have finished the rest! One of the downsides of only having weekends to do it :-P :-P

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 7 Apr 2013 10:06

Morning all -

hope those who want to can get out in the garden today.
We had a quick trip down to the garden centre to buy some seed compost and Tomato seeds. OH left the compost bag near the back door so that I can do the planting on the kitchen worktop to save getting cold ;-)

He's gone to BM's to help with DIY - if I can get it done before he gets back, I can sneak the pots on to the spare room windowsill and he'll never know! :-D

PC hasn't heard about the job; we think that she probably wasn't first choice and they are either waiting for the successful applicant to accept formally, or there is a 'sorry' letter in the post.

At least she and her housemates have been able to sign up for the flat they looked at a couple of weeks ago. Because of her shift system and a run of 'nights', she probably won't move in until 2 weekends time.

Have a good day one and all

YG Report 7 Apr 2013 10:11

Morning DET. Have fun with the planting :-)

I need to go for compost but will leave it until next weekend and hope that the weather is suitable for me to refresh all the plant pots. I do need to get a couple of replacements pots as well. Will there ever be a week when I don't need to spend :-D

PC must be disappointed and it's not nice having to wait for a decision. There will be other opportunities for her, perhaps better than this one, but that won't pacify her at the moment.

I'm off to prep the dinner and get started, otherwise I will be sitting here all day :-D :-D

Enjoy your day everyone :-) :-)

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 7 Apr 2013 15:24

Well done Maz.

I've been outside for about an hour before my back started to protest. The flower beds really need a good dig over, if OH can ever be persuaded!

9 runner bean seeds and 9 x 2 varieties of tomato plugs planted up. Those packets of tomato seeds are a bit of a swizz - only an average of 15 tiny seed per pack :-|

YG - have you thought of getting a box of fertiliser pellets to mix in with your flower planters?

Afternoon all, I dare not go to the garden centre as I have spent too much today already. :-(. Just been to the opticians and needed new specs they are ordered and paid for and tomorrow I have the dentist :-P :-P :-P. I have a terrible pain under my crown (no not the one on my head) :-D. I dread to think how much that is going to cost. :-0

Oh you poor thing - there's nothing worse than problems with your teeth. If they don't hurt your mouth, they hurt your wallet.

Fingers crossed it won't be as expensive as you fear......or that they can offer a payment plan if it is. <3 <3
