Cold and miserable here. It has remained dry all day until 4pm and is trying to rain.
I can't wait for it to warm up some :-D :-D :-D

Thank goodness it is Friday tomorrow. Whoo hoo!! Another weekend is rolling in :-D :-D

Hi Maz. I enjoy the light nights, but it is just too cold to go out and do anything at the moment.

I have got the back garden looking ok now, but there is a lot to do at the front. Maybe this weekend, as it is supposed to be getting warmer.

its raining here at the moment so may do the food shop as i may be able to do the garden tomorrow afternoon when i finish work

My - now its warmed up a bit, everyone's thoughts have turned to gardening :-)
Pity about the uncertain weather. We'll have to use a scythe rather than the mower when we do eventually get to cut the grass.....and watch out for the pygmies!

Glad to hear you're more confident about handing over the Rainbows LG. Out of interest, what does being the FH archivist entail?

PC and her friends collect the keys for the flat today - we've been invited to have an inspection this evening.
It would be good if BM would do the same. I saw his house when we helped him move in; OH has been back to let movers have access when his partner moved down and more recently to assist with DIY. His siblings have been invited to view now that it is furnished, but invitations have been not been extended to us. :-0

It is misty and murky here, so I hope it is going to brighten up this weekend. No appointments for anything tomorrow, so jobs done, food shopping done and hopefully a little gardening. I am going into town on Sunday (first time for months!) to treat myself as I have some vouchers that I need to use and a gift card. Sounds good, I suppose, but I hate shopping for clothes nowadays. Much preferred the smaller boutiques that used to be around years ago. Everything in the shops now is for stick insects that want to bare all :-D :-D :-D

I have just had a call to say the joiner is coming tomorrow morning to fit the new doors on the bathroom cupboard. I've only been without for four months!!
Just some accessories to have fitted to the walls and the vertical blind to go up and it's done, so I am hoping for some reasonable weather to get caught up in the garden.

DET my duties will be sorting and filing information after putting it on the computer database. Also answering any enquires from the General public and supplying copies of any documents or photos they request. I can't wait to get started

Being an Archivist sounds really interesting. Hope it doesn't mean you have to store the bits of paper etc in your own home!

Hope you don't have as much rain as 'promised'. It looks as if we'll only have it today, and then it ought to be dry until Friday.

PC's 1st floor flat share is lovely. Its in a converted Edwardian/Victorian mansion with high ceilings. The estate agents photos showed rather dark green decoration in the living room, but it works & the double bedrooms really are doubles! Such a shame that the communial hall and stairs looks awful, but I suppose thats what can happen when the 6 flats are owned by different people. Mum's going to have to get her sewing machine out as PC's room is the only one without curtains. If it weren't for her shift work, they probably wouldn't bother.

Hope you had a good Easter weekend - it was ages ago but I'm now back online after a week of slow Internet - less than 0.3 mbs, on a good day, nothing at all some days

Apart from today, the last time I caught up was when you were discussing oven cleaning - I wanted to ask about the bags you put oven racks in, but couldn't get on here or Google. It prompted me to do my oven and oven racks - using elbow grease and a razor blade on the carbon. I wish I'd been able to get back on here to tell you what a busy bee I'd been and how pleased I was.

Looked at weather forecast, I think LG will probably get the best of the weather this weekend. I hope the forecast YG saw on t.v. ends up being wrong.

What date have you planned for London?
