Morning all, especially Mersey.
The smile was passed on to the 'Don't post' gang on FA last night. Goodness knows what their reaction was!

LG - Glad to hear that you've got stuck in at the Archives - don't disturb the mice ;-)
Fingers crossed for YG that today isn't as bad as you fear. Is this because you're trying to do the work of 3 after the recent cut backs, or a personality clash?

Maz - How's your poor washing machine coping with an extra load, or have you managed to get a new one? You could tell A to get 3 sets of running clothes, then *he* only needs to wash them every other day.

Not sure what's happening today. OH wants to get another suduko book from the shopping mall, so that will mean a coffee and almond croissant. ;-)

Morning DET, my problem is that I am trying to sort out all the bits and bobs that need to passed on to my new Brownie and Rainbow leaders ready for my departure. It is surprising just what is accumulated and what needs officially sorting. It's very windy here today and clouding up fast so garden might get left again. No conflicts here as yet thank goodness and H mostly deals with all their stuff excepting I often pop a few littlies bits in with mine to make up the loads or catch a good drying day.

Morning LG - good to hear that there are no problems sharing the white goods. I must admit to washing and drying PC's, but that's mainly so that we don't clash. She does occasionally bung a load in if I've got behind.
A friend had her daughter and partner staying while they were doing up their bathroom. She got very incensed when the daughter put a load through, then went out before hanging it up to dry.

Good luck to the son on his moving day, and fingers crossed that it is dry. Is this the previous lodger, or a different son?

LaGooner Report 18 Apr 2013 09:35

Our Baby son :-D. Not the lodger he is already in his place and settled. This one left home about 5 years ago now . He and his girlfriend have just bought their own place and will no longer have to private rent.
H often loads the machine but does not get it hung up because of her shifts so I do it. On the other hand if she is here and mine needs hanging she does it so it works out well for us both(so far ;-))

Aw bless :-)
How exciting for them! Let's hope that you're not expected to help decorate. You should be a dab hand at supervising the moving of boxes by now :-D :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 18 Apr 2013 09:45

The place is quite new and no decorating to be done until a later date when they choose a different colour scheme. They are both really looking forward to it and how did you guess I will supervise box shuffling :-D.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 18 Apr 2013 09:55

Well, you do tend to take on that roll :-D

PC is having her bed moved over to the flat on Monday - she's been taking boxes and suitcases over in her car since last week. This time, I'm hoping she doesn't spend her savings on furniture. The last time she tried independent living, she had to sell for peanuts or give away when she moved back home. Once bitten, twice shy - not because of the fella, but his circumstances.

Hmm I often wonder if they ever learn :-|. Have same sort of problem here. Fortunately this time we have been able to store most of it though it's a bit cramped here and there :-D

YG

YG Report 18 Apr 2013 18:34

Evening all.

It was very sad to hear about the accident in the Alps, Maz. Such an unnecessary waste of life.

That's all the news seems to be about at the moment. I hope to goodness the Marathon passes without any problems on Sunday. We have some runners taking part from our London office. I would have volunteered too, but I am rather busy at the moment :-D :-D :-D

Hope you enjoyed the almond croissant, DET!! You are rather naughty!! :-D :-D

My washer is on the blink and hanging in there by a thread. We have a very good shop here that sells reconditioned washers (in fact, the one I have now was, although not from them and it has lasted well). I'm not sure whether to buy new or not.

Get those boxes sorted, LG. You should have them done in double quick time :-D :-D
