Morning all -

Mid morning yesterday it was error free to post on this thread...as if they had added an extra servor. I only normally have trouble on this long one; shorter threads seem OK.

We never got around to going out yesterday what with one thing and another. I had to get back for an afternoon medical appointment so decided not to bother. OH is up early (for him) this morning, so may be today is the day?

Our NT cards have arrived at last. Pity the weather isn't conducive for longer trips outside at the moment

A quick catch up reveals you've all been busy with family, oven cleaning and decorating! (I haven't yet got as far back as YG's shopping trip, I know you weren't looking forward to it YG!)

Broadband is still playing up here, dropping connection mostly. When it has been on the speed has been much better (apart from 0.14 Mb/s download yesterday). Everything was fine when the engineer came round, and also when I received a call back because it still wasn't right. Intermittant. Perhaps I should make intermittant payments to them!

Just popping in to say "hello" I have been busy over the last few days. OH suffers from an enlarged Prostrate, and has been poorly with an infection (Prostatitis), he is on very strong antibiotics and pain killers; so hopefully he will be feeling better soon (please God)he has to go back to hospital when we return from holiday, that is if we manage to get there. Hope all is well with you. Take care <3

I have been busy with smallest Gooner today she has been helping me with the house work :-D. She is a dab hand with a feather duster as long as I don't let her near OH's deco ornaments etc. Had both mini Gooners in the garden this evening tidying up toys and general rubbish, that kept them out of mischief . Peace and quiet now as all 3 are away for the whole weekend :-D :-D :-D :-D

I have actually been out this evening!! First time for an evening out since last August :-D :-D A group of colleagues that were made redundant were meeting up for a meal and I was invited. I have been chauffeur driven for a change, and have had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

I had a bad tummy this morning and didn't think I was going to be well enough to go, but I was. Tried to be a bit careful but gave in and had a lovely meal and a tipple and I feel fine now :-D :-D

Paula, Hope your OH gets well soon especially as you have a holiday on the horizon. I bet you’ve already checked the insurance policy……..just in case! Is there any thing that can be done once he’s better to cure the underlying problem once and for all?

Sorry to hear the ‘speed’ is still up the spout. If it wasn’t rain in the junction box at the end of the road (since replaced) our problems tend to be traced back to a fault at the exchange. We used to joke that it was time to send them a new bit of gaffer tape. We were told at one point, which turned out to be true, that the speed fluctuates for about 10 days after a fault has been fixed before it settles down to what it should be.

Interesting that NT has a ‘free’ weekend in the spring. I know they have one in September along with English Heritage. Are you and Frog planning to go? We haven’t made any plans as yet, and tend to avoid the weekends if we can.

Hope your tummy has fully recovered YG. Reading between the lines, you have had a rather stressful week. An evening out with friends was just the ticket.

We made it to the shopping centre – and the Almond Croissant! – to purchase all those little bits and bobs which could perhaps be considered ‘essential’ luxuries. It’s amazing how everything adds up.

LG - Enjoy your weekend patter-free of tiny and not so tiny feet. If it weren’t for the moving supervision, you’d have been able to spend more time in the garden.

Although he may not know it yet, OH will be cutting the grass under supervision. My job will be to cack the whip and supply him with cups of tea. :-D

Morning DET. Moving supervision has bee postponed until next weekend as something has cropped up. Nothing serious thank goodness but something that must be seen to. Suits me though as OH and I can poter about doing whatever we like :-D :-D :-D :-D
