That's a real shame. They must be so disappointed. It's no fun living out of boxes :-(
On the brightside, at least you can spend time doing your own thing :-D

Thanks LG, it's good to be back! I'm glad DET mentioned rain affecting things, it does seem to affect my broadband but 'they' won't admit it.
Sorry to hear about OH, Paula, I hope antibiotics and painkillers start working soon.
Glad you're feeling better YG and enjoyed your evening out.
Hoping to go to nursery on Monday with daughter about 3 year old granddaughter - last week there were incidents on three days out of five -she had bloodshot eye because a boy had punched her, then footprint on her back, then yesterday had her head trapped in toilet door and first aider had to check out raised bump on her head. All down to the same boy it seems.
I'm still waiting for a letter about the work situation I told you about. I woke up in a panic at 4am this morning because I couldn't remember going to the Post Office to have my letter to solicitors weighed. A couple of hours worrying then I remembered they'd sent a pre-paid envelope for my reply, so they should have received it. Phew!

Hello everyone.
CT, you are losing the plot, like me!! I hope everything works out for the better regarding your job.
Last night I was with some of the people made redundant at my place of work. Three of the girls have already secured other better jobs. One of the men has a new job, the others are still looking, but seem to be getting interviews. All those with new jobs are far better off than they were before they were made redundant. We gather that feelings are that the axe is yet to fall again, but as our team are the lowest of the low in the organisation, we are hoping we will stay safe.
Your gd has had a rough time at playschool. I hope they sort the culprit out. it sounds as though they need to have a strong conversation with his mother
LG. enjoy your free time this weekend and make the most of the weather today! It is not going to be so good up here tomorrow. I have put my food shopping on hold until tomorrow so that I can get in the garden today to cut the grass.
DET, shame on you!! Another almond croissant!! Don't complain to us all when you can't fasten your skirt :-D :-D :-D
Maz, enjoying your weekend off and find some time to relax :-) :-)

Good afternoon everyone, is it that time already? Thank you all so much for your good wishes for OH. They really mean a lot to me. He has received is hospital appointment to see the Consultant on 3rd June, so we will just have to wait and see, I would have preferred to pay privately and see him earlier (it would have been the same consultant) but OH said he wanted to wait. I am not too sure what the procedures are relating to the Benign Prostate problems, but I understand that surgery is not always successful. It is a stressful time at the moment for us, I would be happy to cancel the holidays, but OH said no, the Doctor said he will give us a letter to give to the insurance company if the needs arises, but he was hopeful the antibiotics would clear up the infection. I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine, how lovely it is to be able to hang out the washing. Have a good day. :-D <3

Enjoy your meal, Maz. :-) :-)
I hope you can get away and enjoy your holiday, Paula. Some sunshine will do you both the world of good.
It has been absolutely lovely here today. My day was a bit mixed up because I had a hair appt at 9am that I missed (thought it was next week), but they fitted me in at 11am. Had the annual gas check and he turned up at 7.40am, then the joiner to finish the lock on the bathroom door at 9.30! I decided to do my shopping after all, but have still managed to get one piece of grass cut and a couple of borders weeded, so I don't feel guilty at sitting down tonight :-D :-D

Evening all, we have had a lovely peaceful day. At last I have managed to get out in the garden and spent all afternoon generally tidying the borders. Hopefully I will get the lawn cut tomorrow.
CT. I know what I would like to do to the brat who is bullying your Grandaughter :-|. We had a new lad at nursery pick on my Littliest Gooner, oh poor him she apparently gave him a damn good hiding in return. She was disciplined for it of course but surprise surprise the little darling leaves her well alone now. I wonder why :-D. No one messes with her and gets away with it she is placid as anything until something like that happens, although she does get the strops occasionally just like her Mummy.
Gunners did well Maz, just as well they did or my cousin (Fulham supporter) would not let me live it down :-D :-D :-D :-D

Good morning,
yes I am losing the plot, but am in good company at Nutlodge ;-) *ducks*
I'm also going try and get lawn done this morning - the forecast is rain from lunchtime onwards.
I'm looking after a neighbours recently acquired rescue house rabbit this weekend even though I did tell her that I have no experience with them. Yesterday I was fine changing the straw, feeding it etc., but had to let it out for a run. She said that the rabbit doesn't like the laminate floor and would stay on the carpet runner. Not yesterday. He legged it behind the settee, and was thumping his feet, I didn't know if he was angry or scared. Then he settled down and closed his eyes, of course I thought then that I'd scared him and he'd had a heart attack, but he was OK. I put him back in his caged run where he seemed quite happy, and probably still getting used to new surroundings, so today I'll leave him there and just feed him.

Morning everyone.
Pleasant weather here at the moment although rain is due from the west this afternoon.
I think I will do a bit more gardening this morning! The quiet bit, weeding and trimming the edges, until everyone is up and I dare use the mower! :-D :-D
Other jobs for when it is raining :-P :-P
I wouldn't know how to handle a rabbit, CT!! I don't envy you!!
LG, my car knows it's own way to the tip!!! I have managed to get rid of everything now and my neighbour's daughter is a keen car booter so takes things off my hands if they are suitable. I take the used cooking oil there as they have a large container for it.
Sounds as though you had a really good night Maz. Well done :-D :-D

Had a wonderful sleep until 10am. Most unusual for me.
CT - hope you can get satisfaction at your grandaughter's Nursery. One spat is perhaps understandable, but more than that?
Glad to hear you had a good time out last night Maz.
YG - it's only been one Almond crosissant this week, and that was a substitute for both breakfast and lunch. :-D It's too late to moan about the increasing girth having gone up 2 dress sizes since OH gave up work. I put a lot of it down to his lack of portion control when it's his turn to cook :-0
OH dragged me out into the garden yesterday afternoon while he cut the 'meadow'. Several primroses had self seeded and were in danger of being mowed. At least it's a cheap way to increase the size of the flower border primrose and primular bank :-)
Depending on the weather, I'm hoping we can go to a nearby NT garden on Wednesday PM. As it's primarily a 'spring' one, it ought to be pretty.

I beat the rain too, Maz, although it turned out to be only a few spots!! I got all the grass cut and some weeding done but had cleared all the tools away before I realised that it wasn't going to amount to much. I was tired by then anyway :-D :-D Still have some more to do, so will see if I feel like doing some when I get home from work.
It could be a cream tea on Wednesday then, DET!! Another inch on!! :-D :-D
I should have kept quiet about the tip because I now have another bagful to go. Some old solar lights that don't work anymore and the growhouse. Three of the support rods seem to have disappeared completely, so I was disappointed. Can't imagine what has happened to them, as I wouldn't have thrown any away. Anyway, the frame proved to rather brittle, so best that it goes! :-D :-D More room in the shed :-D :-D

Evening all, We got to the tip and spent most of the afternoon rediscovering the garden :-D. The grass was so long I was convinced there could be a Tiger hiding in it . No tiger just a ginger cat ;-) :-D :-D :-D. Tidied out the Green house too ,well as much as we could it is being used for H's storage at the moment.

No rain for us - there's a definite north/south divide this week.
We haven't made it to the tip yet with the 3 bags of grass cuttings. Unless I point them out, they tend to be left to fester. OH then complains of the pong in the car.
Shame your growing house has lost some of its bits YG. Even if you didn't want it, you'd have probably found a good home for it elsewhere. They'll turn up when least expected ;-)
OH has suggested we add a NT 'House' we've been to before........followed by a proper meal in the village pub frequented by the local yummy-mummies :-D
PC has thrown a wobbly today. She'd arranged to swap shifts tomorrow as it's moving day. The Manager has vetoed it. Now she has to work a Late tomorrow and an Early on Tuesday and have no time to get settled. She had to go over to the flat today to retrieve some work clothes previously taken there. :-(

Evening DET, Not a happy bunny then. H's manager does that sometimes when they are short staffed. She has a few days off now so lets hope she does not get called in as loads are off with D and V.
