Thanks for the flowers Errol!

I'd better get some refreshments in for tomorrow afternoon. Is Maz not coming? We don't have a 'no cameras allowed' rule in this house so you can send her photo evidence. I wonder who will be the first person to remark that firemen seem to be getting younger these days? My housework is done, even steam cleaned tiles in kitchen and bathroom, not that you lot would notice, you'll be too busy gawping!

Other nanna went to nursery today - she had mentioned the first two incidents to two teachers last week, so I didn't mind that she followed it up. The boy has special needs and has had one-to-one supervision today, hopefully that will continue, but I wonder if he should have had a lot more support / supervision in the past. My daughter has received a written report about Friday's incident, which is what I would have expected. Granddaughter's name is mis-spelled , and the class she is in - the caterpillar room- is catepillar :-|

I had to contact my broadband provider again today, my download speed was 0.08 but now things have been reset at the exchange I'm back up to 3.2 Mbs

Evening all.

Thank you for the flowers, Errol. They are very much appreciated from such a lovely man :-) :-)

I am pleased that you didn't just decide to give them to LG. She can be a little bossy round here when she has her crown on!! :-D :-D She won't let us change the colour of our surroundings. It always has to be red and white :-( :-(

Well done CT, getting all the unmentionable done. I'm not really into sharing my firemen!! DET and LG already have someone, so I think they are being greedy :-D :-D I might just have to divert my attention to naval offiers or airline pilots and leave the firemen to them. The uniforms are much better than firemens :-D :-D

Morning all

So who’s hiding the last piece of the jigsaw Maz? There’s always one bit missing. If you have time, you could see if Hastings library have any street or trade directories to help in your search. Alternatively how about despatching the aged Aunt to have a look? Hope the sleep-in was peaceful.

CT – glad to hear that the Nursery situation is being taken seriously. As the offender has SN, I’m wondering if they were waiting for a ‘Statement’ and additional funding so that they could provide 1-to-1 support. Even so, its difficult to keep your eye on one child *all* of the time especially if other toddlers are trying to attract your attention.

YG – And why shouldn’t LG and I have a gawp? We can look but not touch! :D
OH keeps watching films with Anglelina Jollie or what ever her name is. What’s sauce for the Goose is……..??!!

Evening all
sleep in was peaceful ish ,been a busy day but got the jobs done i needed to
Auntie is not too aged and has quite a library of resources as she did her research the proper way and has all the local directories in her bungalow .Mums side is the easiest as not many of them moved .Dads is the nightmare being Ag labs they moved all teh time also there is a lot of girls on his side who were eccentric maiden aunts with quite a history it seems
However my cousin in herefordshire has quite a good memory and was quite forthcoming so now her names and bits fit so i will put them on later .What is funny is all the babes born in secret or out of wedlock lol to prim and proper folk lol lol

Evening all.

Wasn't that always the case, Maz!! The Victorians were supposed to be worse than us with their 'goings on' so I am sure it also applies to earlier generations :-D :-D
Shameful, tsk !! :-D :-D

I hope you enjoyed the visit of the firemen, CT!! I am really quite jealous. But perhaps I should allow a little peep for DET and LG :-) :-)

Cor! A proper fire -engine! I bet the curtains were twitching!!! :-D :-D

It's been a beautiful day. We sat in the garden for a bit this afternoon reading......until it got too hot in thin jumpers!!

OH's being adventurous with his cooking and will probably need rescuing soon.

CrystalTips Report 23 Apr 2013 19:12

Shame you missed it Maz, will let YG tell you all bout it later! Two fire engines, six firemen, three of them in my house. I didn't ask if I could take photos, sorry.

Two new smoke alarms fitted, then they came back and gave me another three alarms for my daughter's house.

Apart from me talking to them about practical things re risks associated with my wood burner, escape routes etc., my dog got the most attention.
She has always been such a flirt!

How was your tea Det? How adventurous was OH's cooking?!

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 23 Apr 2013 19:49

Not bad!

He had decided he wanted to try a meat pie with shop bought flaky pastry. I'd prepared the filling earlier today; all he had to do was to roll out the pastry and put on the lid.
He made little pastry figures to go on top -
Mushroon
Onion
Cow (??!!)
Bottle of wine

I recognised the mushroom, but the rest needed a lot of imagination ;-)
At least it wasn't burnt.

The rest of the off cuts he turned into 3 jam tarts - does anyone have a chisel to prise them out of the tin ????? :-D

CrystalTips Report 23 Apr 2013 20:11

>>>> chisel on its way >>>>>

It's really nice that OH went to the effort of decorating pie with such a variety of shapes! Well done to him!
