YG Report 1 May 2013 18:27

Evening all. I get in at 11.01am, but it will take me five minutes to walk the length of the platform :-D :-D

Hope you were lucky with the table, DET. You must have a better quality shop down in your neck of the woods!!

Maz, enjoy your days off. It's been lovely here today, although still a little chilly out of the sun. I have managed to get one border weeded since getting home from work as well as preparing a cottage pie and doing the vacuuming. Phew!! I deserve a rest now :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 2 May 2013 09:30

Morning all - another sunny day :-D

The furniture shopping trip was successful yesterday. The BHF shop had a matching pair of bedside tables which we bought - one for the spare room and one for ours (we already have one the same in the spare room) They are still sold new in IKEA but we;ve saved £20 plus the cost of travel and Bridge Tolls so about another £8, AND the purchase price has gone to a good cause. :-D

The BHF has taken over what was previously a furniture shop and filled it with........furniture! They have a mixture of recent Modern and old heavy wood furniture including clean 3 piece suites.

Re next week - we could meet in the cafe if you wanted to, but perhaps we ought to think were we want to wander to as we've 'done' around Westminster and Whitehall. If its wet, we might want to sort out somewhere under cover to wait. Does Covent Garden appeal?

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 2 May 2013 11:53

Morning DET. Glad you were successful with furniture. You had much the same thought as me as per London. Also will we be wanting to walk the same area again ?? Answers on a postcard please and post to PM. :-D (or email)
