Good to hear that Frog has been DIYing - can you get him to chivey OH please?
We've walked to the Polling Booth (CC elections) and had a look at the Lots on offer at the local auction house. There's some nice things there, but nothing that we need or can fit in the house. Now he's stuck in front of the snooker until 9pm. Grrr.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 2 May 2013 20:02

It might well be Maz, (edit - the weather) although things can change in the meantime. Predictions of up to 24c in Greater London on Thursday. Phew! Mind you, you do have to watch the wind direction as that can really make a difference

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 2 May 2013 20:11

If it's as hot as they think/hope? we might need a list of those to go to cool off. ;-)
If push comes to shove, we could always go down to Tower Bridge and the CoL and walk by the river, or down to the Embankment and go the opposite way to previously

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 2 May 2013 20:16

If it's that hot I will be melting :-(

Morning.

Well, Maz and I have sorted where to meet, so if we have a last minute change of plan we'll get lost together ;-)
Layers are good - at your mum's you'll have a cool breeze off the sea. With the sunny days we are having at the moment, it is warm in sheltered position, but a tad cool in the breeze.

OH muttered about going to Knowle Park for lunch today, only he didn't say a picnic lunch or buying for the cafe. MInd you, by the time he gets up, he may have changed his mind!

CrystalTips Report 3 May 2013 13:18

I wish I could join you on your trip. We've already planned to go to London in June to visit youngest daughter, who has just handed everything in for her finals at uni., and have booked tickets for the David Bowie exhibition. We've not seen her since Christmas as she has been so busy with dissertation and essays. We will see her before June though, she is coming home on 14th for a few days, and coming to York races with us on 16th.

I missed all the fun at Errol's soiree too :-(
I didn't drink myself under the table, so that's not the reason I was being unsociable - flipping broadband again. A record speedtest low of 0.07, so that coupled with the error messages on GR was driving me nuts

Mazfromnorf Report 3 May 2013 18:42

YG Report 3 May 2013 19:34

Evening all.

No, don't remind us, Maz!! What a disaster that was!! We have had a successful one since then though in Peterboro, but I think you missed that one, didn't you :-(

Son has just left and coming to disconnect the washer for me. The new arrives in the morning, so I will be washing crazy!! :-D :-D :-D

CT, what a pity you can't meet with us. Coming to York too!! You will only be 20+ miles away from me :-)

DET, I hope you managed to get your OH up in time to go out and have lunch :-) :-)

LG, make the most the peace this weekend. Hope the littlie is starting to feel much better now. :-) :-)

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 3 May 2013 19:41

Evening YG. Littlie is a lot better thanks but it was murder today as I had both of them. Littliest was very tired and fretty by mid morning and larger is going mad with the itching so a bit grumpy. We ended up baking cakes and icing them. My poor kitchen :-0 :-0 :-0, but they did so enjoy themselves. By the time we fetched H from work they were as grubby as anything so we slung them straight in the bath.

Days are ticking by now, can't wait. Just trying to decide what to wear and hoping to book the hairdresser as I look like an old English sheepdog at the moment :-D :-D

YG

YG Report 3 May 2013 20:36

I'd best bring a collar and leash then, LG :-D :-D They will be good for keeping you under control too :-D :-D
