Morning DET. Unfortunately YAL has other commitments on Thursday but maybe another time. It's getting very grey here and as there is a load on the line I have got my beady eye on it :-D

YG Report 4 May 2013 10:04

Morning DET. We are eagerly waiting to see the photos!! What could be more inspiring :-D :-D :-D :-D

My mum used to love the snooker. That and Wimbledon were her annual holidays and woe betide us if we decided to visit whilst they were on!! :-D :-D It was a case of 'if you want a cup of tea, you know where the kettle is'!! :-D :-D

LG, an easy weekend sounds good to me!! I need to do things, but at least I can do it at my own pace and have a sit down in the garden when I feel like it.

I am off outside now to do a bit more weeding!

Enjoy your day whatever you all decide to do :-D :-D

Tecwyn Report 4 May 2013 21:19

Do please forgive my unannounced intrusion into your hallowed halls LaGooner, just that I was passing, and remembering my last visit that was so memorable for so many reasons, I couldn't resist the temptation to look in on you, and your celebrated company.

My last visit was such fun, what I remember of it, though I must apologise for falling into the vat of delicious pink custard, that sadly played havoc with the Harris Tweed, and took my valet weeks to pick it off. Incidentally, did anyone ever find my monocle?

Much as I enjoyed your hospitality, my arrival home in the early hours was less than auspicious, covered in congealed pink custard, a crab vol-au-vent sticking out of my top pocket, and wreaking of gin. I knew I would be in trouble, so slept it off in the barn with the hounds, only to be rudely awoken at dawn by she who must be obeyed prodding me with a shotgun.

Anyway, felicitations, and salutations, to everyone within your marbled halls LaGooner Hoping everyone is in rude health, and all fired up for the London Season.

Welcome back Tec nice to see you again. Not much change in here though I have covered the custard vat so we will have no more mishaps with it. It was an easy job using a very large Mushroom Omelette ;-) :-D :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 5 May 2013 09:47

Morning all - how brave to leave your coat at home! Don't you need it late afternoon or when the sun begins to set?
The temps for Thursday have been revised downward to a max of 14c - such a pity they changed their minds. I like it warm; its the humidity that gets me :-D

Does one assume that A won't be around to feed the fur, hence Frog cat-sitting?

Didn't make it out yesterday after hours typing a long email - Snooker doesn't start until 2, so may be today?

YG Report 5 May 2013 10:50

Morning everyone.

I've just been looking at the forecast, DET. Two of them give differing temperatures, presumably because one is showing a wind chill. Now it's decisions, decisions!! Do I wear a bit thicker sweater, or stick with a top and lighter weight cardigan!! :-D :-D :-D

I got absolutely nothing done yesterday except the washing and food shopping, but hey ho, there is today and tomorrow :-) :-)

Hope you had more success today YG. As long as you enjoyed or benefitted in what you did get up to.

I was allowed out on my own, and spent double what I was hoping at the Nursery. In mitigation, it would have been half again at the Garden Centre. 50% of the new plants have been bedded in, with the rest to do tomorrow. Having to bend over scrub out various pots first has fair worn me out. :-0 ;-)

YG

YG Report 5 May 2013 18:34

Evening DET. Yes, much more success today. I have been a really busy girl and am now well past my best. Just going for a hot soak before I cook dinner.

I need to get the grass cut tomorrow, but that should hopefully finish off everything, for a week or so anyway! :-D :-D

I would like to go to the garden centre next weekend and get some bedding plants. More bending and kneeling :-D :-D Old age has a lot to answer for :-D :-D
