LG has gone into hiding, Maz :-D :-D

I'm chasing her with the largest sjambok I can find :-D :-D :-D

eRRolSheep Report 3 Jun 2013 19:43

What on earth is a sjambok? is it like a springbok?

My loofah is merely for back scrubbing purposes.

YG Report 3 Jun 2013 20:09

Here beginneth your lesson for this evening, Errol :-D :-D

Sjambok (or sambuk in Africaans) is typically a long leather whip (now don't get too excited, and we will have to keep a beady eye on LG, because she is really into leather whips) :-D :-D :-D

Edit: to keep Errol happy! Afrikaans :-D :-D

Thank you for your little lesson in Africaans - I wasn't familiar with that dialect because I only ever learned Afrikaans

YG Report 3 Jun 2013 21:59

Mmm, I think I do, LG!! But then, I have had a hard day and not thinking straight!! Shameful, considering that I lived in SA, but hey ho!! You can go off people :-D :-D

YG Report 3 Jun 2013 22:16

I love the sunshine, but not at work. It really drains me and affects my bad foot. I can fall out with myself quite easily by the time I leave work :-D :-D

Just having a cuppa and then I am off for an earlier night than usual. Perhaps I will feel brighter in the morning :-( :-(

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 3 Jun 2013 22:21

I do hope so YG. I feel ok but just weary. I am doing a little more to my tree this evening as I have a few more little twigs to add.

YG

YG Report 3 Jun 2013 22:28

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 4 Jun 2013 12:29

Afternoon all

Sorry to hear about the nurse at Froggy's work. It must have upset everyone, not only her/his family. My thoughts are with them.

Wasn't around yesterday as we were hither and thithering in, mainly because our one and only car was in for a service and MOT. It was cheaper to get a courtesy car and pay for the insurance than a taxi home and back. Bus times wouldn't have fitted!

Now that half term is over, we're back to invigilating - as OH has a quick turn-around today, we'll have a picnic lunch in the car parked in one of the side roads. There's virtually no time for him to have have been picked up, driven home, eaten then drive back again by which point he'd have lost his parking spot. He'll probably say it's my fault as the 2 with a 2 hour exam sat one I was looking after first- that started 30 mins late due to IT problems. Arggh!
