I'm off to make the last cuppa of the day and keep to my plan of being in bed for 10pm :-D :-D Boring, I know, but I have one h*ll of a week ahead. :-( :-(

Sleep well, LG. I'll catch you tomorrow hopefully <3

Nite nite YG. You are probably snuggled up by now. I had to go out and get some fuel in the car ready for tomorrows early start.

Morning all.

Hope you managed to get your fuel last night LG - you left it a bit late!

Maz - you really are going to have to have a serious talk with that A of yours. He manages his laundry when you're away; there is no reason why he can't bung a load or two in when you're at work but he isn't. :-|

The Mary Rose is a possibility on our first travel day as we have to drive past Portsmouth. We'll bear that in mind, thank you. It all depends what time we leave the inlaws as they want to buy us lunch in lieu of petrol money.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 17 Jun 2013 09:39

That's awful Maz (treatment of women, not the gardening!). Could it be 'our' fault as much as tradition?
Come to think of it, BM never did a load when he came back from Uni, unless we were away. At least he was responsible for his own ironing from when he was in his teens.

hi DET well we rae in the northeast ,my ex was careful what he did too although he never did the garden at all or decorating ,
Froggy does not do gardening but he can look after himself tadpole does when he has to but gebarally the women here work from dawn til dusk .
have come in for a break because its threatening to rain so just watching I have got the hedge sorted front grass done just the back now to do and some tidying up .

It was probably different if the 'wife' was a stay at home homemaker, or worked part time to fit around the children. We certainly divided the chores down the male/female line as OH was out working full time, rarely getting home before 7pm.

One thing I did insist he did was the evening washing up so that the offspring wouldn't see that as a female only roll. Saturday was his turn to cook the main meal....usually a fry up :-D
He has a much wider menu now.

It was really funny when I had to abandon the family when my father had a stroke. I phoned to tell them that if they wanted their clothes ironed, they'd have to do if themselves. OH was making such a 'pigs ear' of his shirts that BM took over in disgust :-D :-D
