We are away the first 2 weeks of August and then I have the 2 mini Gooners the week after while their Mum is away on her break.

YG

YG Report 18 Jun 2013 21:14

Well that's bugg**ed that then, LG!! Same two weeks as me :-( :-(

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 18 Jun 2013 21:42

Awwww well we will have to see what we can do perhaps one weekend ???

YG

YG Report 18 Jun 2013 22:04

Possibly, although weekends tend to be bad with engineering works, particularly on the line we travel on :-P :-P

I am considering cancelling one of my weeks holidays, as I think I may need to keep more back for when the work is done on the bungalow. If I do, I will have a couple of days spare to use.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 18 Jun 2013 22:10

Well I am sure we can sort something.

YG

YG Report 18 Jun 2013 22:18

I think so, LG. Where there's a will, there's a way :-D :-D

I'm off now. Last cuppa of the day made and I am going to finish the last chapter of my book whilst resting in bed!!

Sleep well LG and I'll catch you tomorrow hopefully <3 <3

LaGooner Report 18 Jun 2013 22:21

My goodness YG. You are keeping reasonably near your 10 o clock deadline aren't you. Well done :-D.
Are you taking your cuppa in a cardboard tray ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D.
Sleep well when you get over the giggles <3

Morning LG - just catching up with the boaards. Hope you are well rested this moring?

Eldest has told us about a room rental site they use when they go away called Airbnb.com. They are mainly rooms rented out in private houses rather than formal B&B's. I've been browsing that for Oxford at the end of July - we have an invitiation to a seminar in Thame (not yet confirmed) and we were thinking of combining the two. Not sure if OH would agree as he prefers more impersonal hotels, but not their prices!

The site might be an idea if you and YG do decide to meet midway and you want to spend less time travelling on the same day.

Morning Maz - its rather muggy here. Its supposed to be the hottest day of the year so far, but showers expected. Yuk. All change tomorrow and much cooler/colder but with rain. When are we going to have summer? I've only worn a T shirt on 2 days this year, and that's with a cardi on top :-|

Mazfromnorf

Mazfromnorf Report 19 Jun 2013 11:35

its getting cloudy now i have not worn a cardigan at all this month we have had a lovely June here . 3

YG

YG Report 19 Jun 2013 18:51

Don't rub it in, Maz!!! I have only just started to warm up a little, but still feel a bit chilly in the evening, because my lounge is recessed, so misses the sun in the early evening. It's the longest day on Friday so the good weather needs to hurry up while we can enjoy light evenings :-(

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 19 Jun 2013 20:42

It was really humid today, with the sweat dripping off my face in the garden. That's something that doesn't usually happen!!

Now we are experiencing the calm before the storm(s) :-(

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 19 Jun 2013 20:47

It is very muggy here. I think there may be a storm brewing as I have a headache coming on and that for me is a usual sign when the weather is like this

YG

YG Report 19 Jun 2013 21:03

It was quite cloudy this morning, yet really warm. Quite strange, but the sun burnt through and it was hot :-D :-D :-D Still got all the windows open, but I am not complaining :-D :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 19 Jun 2013 21:40
