Ok, pm me when you have any info. As long as H is alright, that is the main thing :-) :-)

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 3 Jul 2013 21:15

Will do. Oh the mini Gooners will be over the moon in the morning. Had a couple of tears from smallest at bedtime as she wanted her kiss goodnight :-(. Mind you they were so tired from their walk and games in the woods they soon fell asleep.

YG Report 3 Jul 2013 21:30

That's good that they are sleeping, LG. Morning will come soon enough for them to see H. You can enjoy what bit of peace you have left now before she gets home. :-) :-)

I shall keep my secret potato and cucumber pie recipe to myself

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 4 Jul 2013 09:48

Morning all - that's mean Errol. We bought extra potatoes and cucumber in anticipation of your receipe!!!

Good news about the patient LG - don't wear yourself out running around after her <3

ok

Ingredients:

potato
cucumber
Fray Bentos pie (any one will do)
seasoning stuff

Method:

Open the Fray Bentos tin and discard the lid. Carefully remove the top of the pie and set aside for later. Season to taste. Scoop out the filling and discard - I find they usually taste pretty yucky anyway. You should now have an empty pie base. Season to taste. In the empty pie base you have now created place a potato. Season to taste. Add a cucumber. Season to taste. Remove potato and cucumber and remember to slice them before putting them back in. Season to taste. Carefully place pie top on top of pie. Season to taste. Retrieve lid from bin (forgot it was needed). Place lid on top. Use sticky tape to ensure it doesn't fall off. Put pie in oven that is too hot to touch and leave it there for a bit.
Order a takeaway.

YG Report 4 Jul 2013 17:03

A takeaway sounds a very good idea to me :-D :-D

I somehow don't think this pie will join the list of scrumptious recipes that we use in Nut Lodge :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Pleased to hear that H is home, LG. Bet the littlies are delighted :-) :-)

that's a briliant one Errol - almost as good as the tipsy celebration fruit cake :-D

Turned out nice again, hasn't it? We had a stroll on the Prom then came home via a "Charles Dickins" pub. Only Coke for me :-0
Off out for a meal later when we've decided which voucher to use!

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 4 Jul 2013 17:53

What the dickens is a "Charles Dickins" pub?

Has anyone got a cucumber I can borrow?

YG

YG Report 4 Jul 2013 18:47

I haven't got a clue what a 'Charles Dickens' Pub is.

I am not even going to attempt to answer question 2!! :-D :-D :-D
