Morning all –

Poor lad! Was he dragged from his bed at an unearthly hour to fix the fault? And Poor passengers if there were any on the coach!!

Next time you go to the opticians, see if they sell little packs for repairing glasses. The only trouble is that you need glasses to see to mend your glasses!

CWGC – Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

Your gardens sound lovely – if only we weren’t surrounded by trees. Its really difficult to find anything which will grow naturally in shade other than shrubs. I tend to plant annuals in pots then move them on to the beds after the spring bulbs die down. None stay upright as they bend forward seeking the light.

It rained most of yesterday, sometimes torrentially which disrupted the TV satellite signal. I had suggested that if it is dry enough, today we could start trimming our side of the neighbour’s hedge. Silly me sat reading until 3am but didn’t sleep very well when I did go to bed, so I’m not too sure if that will happen now. There’s always tomorrow unless we decide to go out.

My family think I’m odd as I’m not fussed about music; I’d rather have a ‘talking’ radio programme on in the background. It doesn’t bother me if someone else puts on a CD, but I don’t go out of my way to do the same. Just as long as there it’s not high pitched as it makes the ear wax rattle!!!

So you managed not to fall off your ladder getting into the loft YG? Where’s your son when you need him???

Morning everyone.

I haven't been up the steps yet, DET!! I have got them out of the shed ready and they are still waiting!! Son is busy finishing decorating their bedroom before he goes back to work tomorrow.

Maz, poor A!! :-( What a fool the driver was for running out of fuel.

DET is right! It is always difficult to fix glasses without another pair so that you can see what you are doing :-D :-D

We had a lot more rain yesterday evening and through the night, but it is very pleasant now. A bit cloudy at times, but at least it is warm and dry so I can get my washing finished.

Afternoon all!

I love the music I was brought up with YG, you must be so proud of your father and his talents. I'm pleased that my daughters appreciate so many different eras of music, they both like 40's and 50's music, but are quite jealous of me because of the gigs I went to in the late 70's.

Near where I live there is an annual 'Yanks' weekend. Part of the film starring Richard Gere was filmed locally. It's a really good event with old cars, people in uniforms, 40's fashions. I would love to learn how to do my hair in a roll and go dressed up.

Evening everyone.

Bet you weren't the most favourite mother in the world, Maz!! :-D :-D

:-D :-D :-D LG. I can just imagine you in them, too :-D :-D :-D

I've successfully got the boxes of bubble wrap out of the loft and packed away about one third of the kitchen. At least all the china is packed away, just glassware, crockery, foodstuffs, cutlery etc etc etc still to do :-( :-(

Family visited and the kitchen was in a mess, my hair was stood on end and I looked like a tramp!! Dil wouldn't even have a drink :-D :-D :-D Son laughed because I had been wiping down the tops of the cupboards that they are taking down. Wouldn't do for them to be dirty, would it!! :-D :-D

Am now just waiting for a rather late dinner to finish cooking.

Morning all - glad you've managed to start on the packing YG. When your b'day or some other event comes round, ask your son if he'd like to contribute to a loft ladder. It could save a lot of heart ache if you fell off a wobbly one ;-)

Hope that A has managed to catch up on his sleep. 21 hours working is one heck of a long time even if he wasn't driving all of that. He ought to have a fat pay packet next time he is paid :-D

CT did you used to camp in the mud during the 70's or where you a day tripper? You weren't a flower child were you or were you born too late for that? PC says that there are a lot of family groups when she goes to Festivals - tell your daughters to start saving for next year ;-)

(gets camera out to snap LG in her Nora Batty stockings?
