It's not!!!

I have managed to acquire about four boxes at work today and a couple of them are decent sizes. We have had such a heavy day at work that I didn't feel like doing anything tonight, but I will make a serious effort this weekend.

I am going to have a word with R and see if he is free one Saturday (when dil and the girls go off to the hairdressers!) so that he can take down some of the things for me. I am just very unsure at the moment of what to do with my clothes. I had a rail that I bought when I first moved in, before I got the wardrobes, but they are not very stable. I got rid of it a couple of years ago, but may have to buy another one to at least hang trousers and skirts on.

It's a bit of a nightmare!! :-D :-D

I don't envy you it YG. I have got to have a major turn out here as we have far too much stuff that we do not need.

Mmm, it's not easy, is it!!!

I am by no means a hoarder, in fact, quite the contrary and can be a little over zealous when clearing out., but the things I want to put in the loft will never surface again, but I can't part with them! Neither do I really want to store unnecessary things up there!

Good luck with yours, LG!!

I am off to bed now. Thank goodness it is Friday tomorrow :-) :-)

Sleep well and I'll catch you tomorrow <3 <3 <3 <3

I have a couple of boxes of treasured items in the loft which no way will I part with. The rest is absolute tosh that needs to be brutally attacked.

Nite nite YG I will catch you tomorrow, sleep well <3 <3

WAKEY WAKEY, NUT LODGERS!!

The saucepans are coming out if you are not up and in your right mind in the next five minutes!! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D (I'm not sure that any of us are in our right minds at the best of times!!) :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I am loitering with intent, passing away half an hour before I go to gp's, so it wasn't worth going into work for half an hour before having to come back again!

Awake and with our heads on at that hour of the morning? You must be joking! Maz might have been, but she was at work :-P :-)

Hope that you passed your tests with flying colours

Morning to everyone else who rose at a more sensible time.

We had a good afternoon out at Polsden Lacy, followed by a drive over to Box Hill. We did start to walk up it, then thought "Nah!" :-D
The views from both places were spectacular

OH has taken on-board my frustration of having to leave early to beat the M25 rush. Consequently we came back via the back roads to the south. A slightly slower journey, but more interesting. He used to commute along the M25 (100 + mile round trip) for somewhere in the region of 20 years, hence wishing to avoid that time of day.

YG - will they lend you a wardrobe box, or would you still have the problem of where to put it? If you were to borrow a pop-up tent, would boxes of stuff be safe in there? It wouldn't do your lawn much good though

Where is everyone!!! Maz may be working but don't tell me LG is still in bed :-D :-D

DET, Box Hill sounds familiar to me. Is it anywhere near Croydon or Purley? Many year ago (and I mean 'many'!!), I went to stay with my godparents in London and their son took me out for the day. I remember going through Croydon and Purley and we eventually finished up at Beachy Head if my memory serves me correctly. I am sure Box Hill rings a bell from that same trip.

The council won't give us any special boxes. They can only share some standard ones around. I thought of ordering a garment box, but they are £10 each and I object to paying that to use once and then recycle!! That is the Scrooge in me!!

I daren't store anything outside, even covered, because although it is generally quite safe round here, I live on an exposed corner plot with two entrances and I don't trust anyone!! I think we are suffering because this is a mop up operation doing work on properties that couldn't be done originally as the tenants refused the work. When they were doing several in the same area, they used to provide a lockable container for everyone to store their things in, but mine is the only one on this road unfortunately :-(

It sounds as though you had a good day DET and OH.

I have access to large plastic crates if ever we need to pack anything . Just a quick word and off we go to borrow them

Evening YG.

Didn't Maz say that she had a sleep-over last night at work? Perhaps she is still recovering. Goodness only knows where LG has got to!

Box Hill is nearer to Dorking and Leatherhead and doesn't seem on an obvious route from Croydon to Beachy Head. It could have been sign-posted, or you were taken on a Cooks Tour! :-D

If you're the only house in the road to be renovated, does the 'old lady' neighbour have space??

Evening DET.

I am sure she would have been happy to help, but she has been quite poorly for a few weeks now. She was given too high a dose of her morphine patches and was in la-la land for some time. Her recovery is starting to improve, but she is still not right. I am just hoping that she will still be having the wardrobe unit and is supposed to be sending her son round to measure up, but she gets confused and may have forgotten to mention it to him.

I've got it, I think!! Maybe it was Redhill!! Not a huge amount of difference!! :-D :-D I did say it was a long time ago!! :-D :-D
