Morning YG - we're pacing ourselves ;-)

Strange how heights run in families - OH and his sister take after his mother and are both knocking 6 foot.
Our children take after my side and are shorter, the girls being closer to 5 foot.
OH's nephews have an equally tall Dad and are well over the 6 foot mark!

Today is the day we start to hack at the height of the hedge. Wish us luck!

It is a lovely day here today. The washing is out and I am going to make a serious start on the tasks ahead :-D :-D

My hedges are being trimmed on Monday. It is not many weeks ago that they were done but I don't think the naked gardener made a good job of it. My neighbour is very lax at trimming his side and it is difficult to get too as he has a trailer and car parked alongside the hedge. Gardening isn't his favourite subject! Tinkering with cars is!! The new gardener says he can reach from this side so hopefully they will look good when he has finished.

I have a man (not my OH) in my garden at the moment, painting my fence. I'm so glad that he is fully clothed! ;-)

so much for lazy fur thought she would play at 4.30 am so did the washing ,made a shopping list ,went to book tickets to see mum in october ,then met froggy did some shopping
went out for lunch now am tired so given up lol hoping to some more tomorrow

I have given the lounge a good clean, moved the computer desk in there so that I can use it to keep the microwave and kettle on when the workmen start and re-organised the furniture so that I can move round! I have washed and packed all the glasses,some baking dishes and crockery, done the food shopping, washing and emptied one of the cupboards in the wardrobe. I've moved the boxes that are packed into the kitchen for the time being.

Naked gardener!! You have been missing, CT!! Nothing half as interesting as it sounds!! Just a nickname, a bit like the naked chef!! I am too YG. OH and I took the Mini Gooners into town and boy did they run us ragged. They were very good though and now sound asleep like little angels. They persuaded us to have lunch out too Burger King :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P. Still they enjoyed it as it was their day

There was one in South Africa in the town where we lived and I always enjoyed going there. Exactly as it used to be and it felt like home from home!! There is one here, I believe, but I have never tried it out.

We actually saw a Wimpey Bar while we were away this year. We also had one in our town until a couple of years ago
