Morning all.

Roast Pork? I'll be there! Mind you, we had a roast yesterday after realising we had about 6 joints in the freezer. We invited the widowed neighbour over to share it as
a) she needs fattening up as she isn't eating properly
b) we'd be having to use the left overs all week ;-)

MInd you, she could only manage one slice, but cleared her plate of veggies!

We've cut back about a third of the length of hedge; the wheelie bin is full and there are 4 sacks of debris. My back is aching from the bending and stretching. Not sure how stiff OH's arms are going to be with all the sawing he did. He was the one up the step ladder.

Perhaps we ought to follow CT's lead and get a man (or rather PC's b/f) in!

You've made quite a dent in your packing YG. Despite having to manover around boxes and furniture, it must feel quite satisfying. Have you managed to throw anything away?

YG Report 1 Sep 2013 10:55

Morning DET. Well done with the hedge trimming. Hope you haven't put your back out again. You know you have to be careful!

It was very kind of you to invite your neighbour round for dinner. At least you know she has had one good meal. It's is worrying when they don't eat properly, but at least you know she has got one good meal down her now.

The packing is coming on much better than expected, although I am stuck for boxes again at the moment. Some packed boxes are going in the shed, but I can't get many in there and will decide which ones nearer the time.

I have thrown out bits and bobs, but I'm not a hoarder, so there isn't really much to dispose of.

Must get back to it! :-D :-D Catch you later :-)

Is it Maz's turn yet again to do Sunday lunch? I'd invite you to mine but we've got nothing in, and both dogs have been a bit poorly so I wouldn't want you to be exposed to the lurgy or treading in anything :-(

Onwards and upwards with hedges and sorting out!

You've been busy on your relaxing weekend Maz!

I've been stood up, my 'man' didn't turn up to finish my fence.

Not sure if I've been RR'd, some of my other posts are not showing :-(

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 1 Sep 2013 18:02

Aw - Stood Up? You can't get the staff now-a-days :-D
Its unlikely that you've been RR'd on this thread - we're very circumspect , don't ya know?
Errors in posting perhaps?????

Another third of hedge length done, with a trip to the dump planned for tomorrow. I decided to be an armchair gardener and sit on a patio chair to save bending. OH is in charge of hacking/sawing/lopping while I cut the debris down to fit in the bags.
We've got to the age where we recognise that some things need another person's help, but don't want to throw in the towel and admit defeat.

Just about to re-heat Maz's roast. What a treat!

I like your style, DET!! Sitting on the job!! :-D :-D :-D

Maz, do you mind chucking my dinner down my way please! I'm too tired to come up and fetch it and I'm starving hungry :-( :-(

CT, you can borrow my eye candy! I hope your man turns up again and that you haven't paid him in full. :-( :-(

I haven't stopped since this morning, other than to have what I thought was going to be a quick sandwich and whilst eating that discovered that my internet security had lapsed, so had to download a new subscription. All fine and dandy now :-D :-D
I have had a real clear out. Mostly paper stuff, but it needed doing. I have even re-filed all my family history papers, although they need a lot of time putting in to them sooner or later :-D :-D Probably later!!

Off to cook tea and iron something for work tomorrow, then I am going to sit down
:-D :-D

Well done to Maz for yet another lovely Sunday lunch! Even if we didn't all turn up you got us all drooling.

My man 'phoned up to apologise about not turning up today. I think he will finish the paint job tomorrow, there's no rush.

I did not think I had been RR'd on here. I forgot to sit on my hands and zip my mouth on other threads. I've possibly made some new friends, and possibly renewed 'acquaintance' with someone else. If I end up on the naughty step I can do something useful - like finishing the ironing!

Had a great night out last night! My sexy man performed for three and a half hours, I didn't get home until after midnight!

Morning all –

At least your ‘man’ had the decency to phone CT, even if it was after the event. Perhaps he was suffering from a touch of the morning after the night before??

How does one treat a dog with a gyppy tummy? Don’t envy you having to clear up after it (shudders)

Phew, now you’ve booked the flight at least you’ll be able to come back home again. We’ve heard that the beach is a good place to sleep in foreign climes. :-D

Even on her day off, Maz is rushing around like there is no tomorrow. For goodness sake stop and smell the roses!
