Not as yet. H is going to college on nurse training ,littly is getting a new nursery sorted tomorrow and Mini Gooner only heard yesterday which school she will be going too. Phew !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cor! Talk about cutting it fine! Silly schools leaving it this close to the beginning of term.

Brilliant news that H has got on the course. The next thing you'll know is that you'll be invited to her graduation!!! :-D

I do hope she does well. She lacked confidence before but now she seems to be growing up and maturing AT LAST !!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D.

Talk about cutting it fine we have just discovered that the name tapes for clothes have been lost in the move so I have had to order more :-0. Now what's the betting they will turn up before the new ones arrive on Monday :-D :-D :-D

CT glad Daisy is better its amazing how animals recover and they seem to know how to deal with it too .
LG glad the school run will be nearer its hard to believe they are at school does not seem five mins since they were born it will be easier if the school run is not so long cheaper on fuel too
I have had eyes tested ,today been to the dentist I am getting a crown so will need another appointment or two .My eyes were checked too today and i dont need any new glasses so that is somthing I guess .Froggy and I are just relaxing its so nice I have a full garden wheelie bin and still more to go into it lol

No, I didn't nod off, CT!! Neither did I have eye candy looking at the wardrobes!!

I was busy finishing the sorting through photographs task and trying to sort out how to send someone a photo of the wardrobes from my phone. I have had quite a few replies, so plenty to go at if someone lets me down. I was worn out by then, so retired under the duvet!!

Managed to get some boxes off one of my colleagues, so plenty to go at now and I think I might have found someone at work that has a clothes rail!!

Just got a letter from the consultant to say I need another eye injection, so am now waiting for the appointment. I hope it's before all the dust and grime starts!! :-( :-(

I hope the funeral service left you with happy memories of your friend and colleague, DET. They are never easy occasions and I am always stuck for appropriate words.

Maz, I am pleased you are paying for the crown and not me!! :-D :-D I can't even get a NHS dentist round here so everything is very expensive :-( :-(

A dental Crown Maz? Ouch, that’s going to hurt the pocket if not the mouth! I’ve a check-up on Monday. Fingers crossed that there is nothing more than a clean needed. I cancelled the last hygienist appointment as they were charging too much. They’ve introduced a saving plan since then – other people must have thought the same.

Glad that you managed to get some more boxes for packing YG – like CT we have a few collapsible crates from when the offspring needed ‘stuff’ transported to Uni, but not nearly enough to pack up a domestic room! Fingers crossed that your wardrobes disappear at the weekend.

The hedge is back on the list – the neighbour would like us to reduce the height of the ‘high’ bit to about 8 foot on our side. Mixed blessings as we are trying to clear the debris of the last cut – ours has been taken to the dump and we now have the same from her side – she’s a bit nervous about doing it herself. Ho Hum. Mind you. she has really gained in confidence since her OH died; we thought she’d fall apart.

Morning all. well first day at school for A, she went in all smiles and relaxed so fingers crossed all will be well at the end of the day. Just sorted Pre school for E now just got to get session times booked around H.

School and uniform sorted for LG, it looks as though YG's wardrobes will go soon, and Det's hedge will be finished after round 2 (sorry I thought you had an awkward neighbour, rather than the one whose husband died recently)

After requesting technical assistance from a GR member (thank you!) about how I could record the live streaming of daughter's graduation next week I've discovered that a DVD will be available, so will order a copy. Much better than leaving my laptop out in full view whilst we are away. I've been worrying about where we might stay on the night of the graduation, the hotel room I've booked for the first night would be £125 dearer! Just been on the uni's web site and discovered that it is used for conferences and rent out rooms in the halls of residence, so just about the make the booking.

Afternoon evening all have had a lovely couple of days off here with froggy we have been doing some chores .one of which was tidying this PC up it was going quite sluggish its much better now hopefully .
My crown is part funded by NHS it was their suggestion as the arthritis in my jaw is wrecking my teeth it seems
Its getting quite dark here so am thinking it will rain before the night is through

Well, I finished up doing 1.5 hrs overtime tonight, so am not thrilled :-( :-( Came home and put two boxes of lawn seed down and done a little more packing. Just waiting for dinner to cook now.

The wardrobes are going (hopefully!). I have gifted them to someone and they phoned this morning to see when they could collect. As I was at work I have asked them to call back tonight to arrange. Now I've got to find the money for new ones :-S :-S

morning is all i am going to say its pppp ing down very hard so dont think i will be out much have just popped to the post box and am soaked lol .
got the swearing to do when there is clumps of tortie fur in corners of rooms it's time to do some lol
the dryer is on sadly as i have washing and a very small house to dry stuff in .and the forcast is rain allday so it will not dry in a damp atmosphere lol

CT - Hope the Halls of Residence room works out OK. I’ve sometimes wondered if it would be cheaper to make another booking for subsequent night with the main chains – its as if they give you a cheap rate for the first night as a ‘come on’ then rack it up if you want other ones.

We didn’t do much of the hedge yesterday as it was so hot. It got up to 32c at one point and the hair round my face was soaking with perspiration. We did manage 2 dump runs; OH is getting concerned that they’ll think we are running a business and want to charge. They’ve got one of those number plate reader thingys. There is still one ‘crown’ to take which will disappear at some point with the yet to be filled bags of debris next time we have a hack.

The neighbour has always been undecided; we’ve tried our best not to pressurise her hence suggesting that she mainteances the status quo over the hedge high section. Since then she has realised that she can’t reach the top from her side hence the request that we lower it. It is her hedge although the shade it produces effects our garden hence our involvement. She is 71 and looks as if a puff of wind will blow her over!

Fingers crossed that the school clothes don’t go awol before the labels turn up/arrive.

Lol DET it would be dust clumpsif we had no pet .I am trying to do some admin but she is now bored so am giving up for a while
YG they now do need more staff where you are shame you never gotthe part time hours you would like .Its Ok to have us all working longer however can we sutain the work at the same pace .I know that my rest between shifts does not always seem enough and i am a spring chicken I have done upstairs nearly and stairs but now just having a quick break to sort the washing out

Evening everyone

Plenty of rain here too today. The garden breathed a sigh of relief!!

Went to get my nails done after work and we had a problem getting the polish to cure, so they had to be stripped back twice and then change the colour to one that we know works ok. Almost four hours later I came home, so it has been a fish and chip dinner tonight.

DET, Ididn't have any choice but to stay. We had to print and collate all the papers for the main board meeting next week, and, as ever, they say when they want them to go out and we only get them to print on the same day. The new printer gave up the ghost after 2.5 hours solid printing and the old printer is so slow that we could get to Timbuktu and back by the time it prints one set of papers. The director only wanted us to ask the company upstairs if we could finish off on their printers, but a) not even sure whether the IT dept could have sorted that out and b) no-one upstairs works after 5pm, so it was a non starter!! I have known us be there till 8.15 on the odd occasion previously, although not often, but it used to regularly 6.30 before we got finished and they were supposed to improving things and getting papers to us sooner :-( :-( Anyway, we managed to get finished this morning and they have gone in the post this teatime.

I didn't know that they had number plate readers at the dump it sites!! I shall be on the look out now, although I am safe (I think!!) :-D :-D
