Morning all

You were a busy bee yesterday YG. So pleased that you had the energy after your 'little problem'. Perhaps as Maz said it was caused by stress?

The problem BM is having with the church is being caused by the vicar not replying to emails! They need to know what documentation/proof of identity they need to take next weekend for their initial meeting. If it isn't in the 'pack' we're going to suggest BC's, passports for photo ID and possibly a bill of something for proof of address.

Hope you had a lovely child free weekend LG even if you did spend some of it catching up with the unmentionable. I'm not entirely sure if ours would dry outside as it is very cloudy and calm. At least it isn't cold!

Morning Maz.

Good idea about the website, but I'm trying not to interfere! After all, I'm the grooms mother and know my place ;-)
The Bride's mother is due back in the UK today after their summer in France. Living locally she'll be in a better position to liase. We're not being cut out at all, but the Mum wants to be quite hands on. At least I've been asked to be a witness on the Register, and a message has been relayed about hats - I don't 'do' hats which is just as well as neither does she :-D

LaGooner Report 23 Sep 2013 12:35

Afternoon all, sounds as though we have a lot in common DET. I am not a hat sort of person. To quote Reggie Perrin 'I didn't get to where I am today by wearing hats' ;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D

YG

YG Report 23 Sep 2013 18:48

Evening everyone.

I don't do hats either, although I had to have one for R's wedding. Rather a challenge finding out what colour the bride's mother and the bridesmaids were wearing so that I didn't clash and only then found out because my sil was making the wedding cake :-( :-(

Out of choice, I would never wear a hat again!! Having fine short hair, it is difficult to fasten securely and a slight breeze causes mayhem :-D :-D

Mazfromnorf Report 23 Sep 2013 19:39

hats hate them lol the only hats that i wear are borrowed ones and now its flowers it was for N?s wedding .I hope the brides mum does not wear a hat for A/s when its announced

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 23 Sep 2013 21:20

The only hat I ever wear is my woolly one and it has to be exceptionally cold for me to do that. :-|

YG Report 23 Sep 2013 22:54

You are telling porkies, LG!! You have got a tin hat and a rusty crown :-D :-D

I'm off to bed now. A slight lie-in tomorrow as I go to the hospital for another eye injection :-( :-( At least I will be at home for the rest of the day relaxing :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 24 Sep 2013 11:03

Morning all -

YG - hope you aren't too sore after your hospital visit and that you have a no-go room to rest in when you get home <3

Maz - didn't you have a hat or fascinator for N's wedding? Or is my memory of the photos faullty?

Where is LG hiding today??

Did CT say how long she was away for? If she gets bored and looks in, hope the weather is mainly good for you. It's a bit hit and miss at this time of year!

We've run out of bread (the overnight visitors at the weekend) and are debating if we can last until shopping day without the 'staple'. :-0

BTW - the lawn mower has gone to the great meadow in the sky. A wheel fell off :-( :-D

YG

YG Report 24 Sep 2013 11:38

Morning DET.

The injection was the best one yet, although I have a lot more black 'floaters' today. It was a different doctor and he was brilliant. I've told him I hope he is on duty next time :-D :-D :-D

The workmen are running one day behind, so instead of the kitchen fitter with his clean work today, I have the plasterers back to do the full skim :-( :-( It is a pity that the kitchen fitter isn't here today as I need to ask him if he can put some new trims on the bedroom window. Got permission from the foreman (as long as he does it on his day off - there is trim in the stores, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, but he hasn't told me that!) so I will have to nip home tomorrow lunchtime in the hope that he is here.

Poor lawnmower :-( :-( What a shame it has to be dumped because of the wheel. Does that mean spending some money :-( :-(
