Evening one and all. It is surprising what a different doctor can do isn't it YG :-D

YG Report 24 Sep 2013 19:32

Evening LG.

Yes, you are right. I cannot believe the difference. I had no problem with the iodine wash and although it was uncomfortable for a while, it was nothing like the previous injections. The only thing was that I had black floaters this time which is normal, but I haven't had them before.

Evening Maz. Enjoy your days off and don't overdo it! (Says one who doesn't know when to stop until it's too late!!)

I have done lots of floor washing today, clearing up after the plasterers. We had a good day though and a real laugh this afternoon when the young electrician came :-D :-D That's the end of all the dirty work. Kitchen fitters start tomorrow, so hopefully I can have a rest for a few days, before all the unpacking starts :-) :-)

Evening Maz, have a good little break from work,

Good news about the renovations YG.

YG

YG Report 24 Sep 2013 22:08

It's coming on well now, LG. It's back is broken (as well as mine!!)

Tomorrow the skirting board is also being fitted in the bedroom, so I can put things straight in there until I have it decorated. That means I will have room to move some boxes into there and free up the lounge a bit.

It has been another lovely day here today. I even had a garden chair out this afternoon for a short while, and then decided to do some weeding. If the weather is dry at the weekend, I might get it finished :-) :-)

I have been reasonably idle today as H had a hospital appointment this morning so I took her and waited then delivered her to college. Spent late afternoon / early evening snuggled up with the mini Gooners doing homework and reading stories. I have a bit of a cold brewing so not feeling overly energetic

YG Report 24 Sep 2013 22:23

You need to take it easy then, LG to make sure it doesn't get worse.

One of my colleagues has gone off sick again. A cold and now loss of voice yet again. She has only recently returned from about a 5-6 weeks off with the same thing.

I am off to bed now. Back to work tomorrow :-( :-(

Have a restful day tomorrow. The paperwork can wait and so can everything else :-)

Sleep well. I'll catch you tomorrow <3 <3

LaGooner Report 24 Sep 2013 22:26

I am going to have a restful day tomorrow as I have loads of records to print off for the WW1 soldier project that YAL and I are working on for the Historical Society.
Sleep well YG, catch you tomorrow. <3

Morning all –

Don’t over do it Maz – it’s your days off!!!!!

YG - Thank goodness that the weather was good enough for you to relax outside after your ordeal. Not only did it keep you out of the way of the workman, but also from the dust. Did bending over to weed make things more painful?
5-6 weeks off for a cold and laryngitis? Is she taking the Pee? Or could it be stress related?

Researching WW1 soldiers sounds an interesting project. As long as you can find them on census, you could probably write up a nice little family history as it relates to your area.

OH has been going round singing ‘There are 3 wheels on my wagon’ in anticipation of replacing it. Although he has managed to fix the wheel back on, the mower has seen better days. He’s been talking about replacing it for at least 5 years; we must have had it about 20. He’d love a sit and ride one, but our patches of grass aren’t big enough. Boys and their toys. :-D

I am nearly finished now lol

YG Report 25 Sep 2013 19:03

Evening everyone.

A bit of a dull and cloudy day here today, although still mild. As I was sitting in the office all day it didn't really matter :-D :-D

The new kitchen is in :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) Tiling tomorrow in the kitchen and bathroom.

The bath panel is damaged, so they are having to find one in the right colour from the orders for the houses that they haven't started yet :-D :-D

DET, I am wondering about my colleague too. She really has lost her voice, although not quite as bad as last time, but the doctor has signed her off for two weeks. Previously she was referred to ENT at the hospital, but the outcome didn't really show anything. She is doing some work at home this time, so at least that takes the pressure of me having to cover her work. I am just hoping that she is back after two weeks, as someone else goes on leave on the 7th until 24th and I am supposed to be off week commencing 19th October. If she is not back, I doubt I can take it as it will only leave our manager on her own :-( :-( :-(

I don't think the mower really owes you anything!! They don't make things to last that long nowadays. Treat your OH to a push mower :-D :-D :-D :-D They are the best thing ever for lawns, particularly if you can get hold of a five blade model. I don't think he would be too impressed though.

LG, have you got all your printing done and has a reasonably restful day? I hope you are feeling somewhat better today.

Well done Maz, if you are chilling this evening. :-) :-)

LaGooner Report 25 Sep 2013 22:16

Evening all, not restful at all as it turned out :-|. I had to go out on business then I had little ones late afternoon though they were as good as gold. Still not feeling too good but could be worse

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 26 Sep 2013 09:02

Morning all –

Sorry to hear that you’re under the weather LG. Is this the cold that was threatening at the weekend? Let’s hope that today you don’t have to rush around so much.

YG – how lovely that it’s all coming back together! Did you supply your own tiles in the end? If your colleague doesn’t feel up to coming back to work after her 2 weeks off, they’ll have to get a temp in. It just goes to show the downside of paring back the staffing levels so that there is no wriggle-room. Why should you have to move your break just because someone is ill?

Don’t go over doing it Maz – we know you.

OH is pleased with his mower. For one thing it doesn’t tear the grass up so much. A push one? You must be joking! At times the grass gets a bit long which a push mower wouldn’t cope with. As we are surrounded by trees the back lawn does tend to undulate because of the roots + if he isn’t able to cut the grass at anytime, I’d have to take on the duty and wouldn’t be able to ‘put my back’ into it.

Today’s task is a dump run – the old mower and remnants of the shed clear out which don’t fit into the wheelie bin. I suppose I could have put it onto freecycle, but he wants it gone as soon as.

Morning one and all. It's a beautiful sunny day today but I have no energy to go out in the garden. It is in such a mess and really needs a major tidy up.
