Morning all - you must all have fair worn yourselves out yesterday and had early nights. No one around since 19:36 last night?

We think we've found a home for a pre WW2 tyre pump our neighbour wanted to get rid of. A small motor museum says that they are interested. We had thought of putting it on ebay, but the hassle v the amount raised less costs wasn't worth it. Its good to think that it will be cherished by someone else rather than melted down for scrap :-D

YG Report 2 Oct 2013 18:23

Evening everyone.

I think LG was watching the footie last night and then probably fell asleep :-D :-D

Well done with the tyre pump, DET. I am sure the motor museum will be very appreciative of the donation.

I am sitting here bubbling with anger over the decorators. I need to calm down before I see the foreman, if I can get hold of him tomorrow. Everything seems to be going wrong at the last minute. :-| :-| :-| :-0 :-0 :-0

At least I have been in touch with my own decorator who is coming to see me a week on Saturday about decorating the bedroom and I am going to get the plasterer in to skim the two poor walls in the bathroom before I paint them in a colour of my choice.

Morning all -

So sorry to hear that things aren't going quite right YG. I do hope they haven't done something to damage your new wood work or the other improvements you made earlier this year.

What's up LG? Has your resident off-spring done something to upset the apple cart, or is it one of the others? It's usually one or the other!

How organised you and your Aunt are Maz. It would be great if you can find something in the papers. With your Aunt 'on-site' as it were, at least she can make enquiries to see if earlier ones are stored somewhere else.

Think we are visiting our local shopping Mall today - OH has a voucher he needs to use before it expires.

Boo! I'm back!

Hope you are all OK. Has anything exciting been happening? I thought YG's home renovations would be finished by now, sorry to hear that you are still having problems.

Had a good time apart from us both being ill for a couple of days and didn't get to do all the sightseeing we had planned :-|

The night we got back OH went to the shop and forgot to lock the car, it had been rummaged by morning. I don't think anything is missing apart from a bit of money but they prised the glove compartment cover off. I've been occupied trying to figure out how to open it without the key (managed it, the burglars didn't!) then how to put it all back together. The same thing happened to three other cars at least. I suppose that some people wouldn't bother reporting it to the police if not much was missing, on top of being embarrassed about not locking their car. The police have been great. They 'phoned me today - no fingerprints were found in any of the cars so they have closed the case. The good thing is that it will be included in the local crime statistics which are broken down into numbers and different types of crime and are e-mailed to subscribers and hopefully make people more security conscious. I always lock the car, it's OH who forgets :-P

Evening everyone.

Wet, cold, grey and miserable here!! Wish I could say the sun is shining and we are in for a good few days :-( :-(

Welcome back, CT! What a pity you both had a couple of days of sickness. That is definitely not the right time. Oooh, naughty OH. You were lucky that they didn't take the car. We women never do anything like that >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> cough, splutter :-D :-D

Did you get to the mall, DET? Probably a good place to be if the weather is as miserable down there as it is here. The plants are breathing a sigh of relief though :-D
