Evening, DET. Sorry to hear your OH isn't feeling well. I hope he soon recovers and doesn't spread his germs to you :-( :-(

Mine was caused by the flu jab, which I had no reaction to at all last year, but it has gone now :-) :-) Just hope it doesn't happen again with the pneumonia jab in a couple of weeks time!!

The work isn't finished yet. Hopefully by the end of next week if not before. There is only a shower rail and the snagging to do, but we need to sort out the decorating problems that I have had, so have a meeting with the liaison officer and foreman on Monday lunchtime.

There is a free nuisance call blocker but I have not looked into it properly yet. It will depend how many more of the calls we get as to whether I bother or not

I am having problems with the lappy. It keeps dying on me, so I somehow think it isn't go to last much longer :-0 :-( If I suddenly disappear you will know what has happened!!

Nuisance calls >>>>> I am registered with TPS and only get the odd one or two, but my mobile drives me mad. There is a scam no. that keeps phoning but I cut it off and this week calls from Tenerife have started. I answered the first one as I didn't know the number, and they were trying to sell time share. I said I wasn't interested, but I have had two more calls from the same number that I haven't answered. I can't block them unfortunately on the mobile :-(

I don't answer any calls I don't know the number for. My home phone has caller ID and as my answer phone is always on people who are genuine can always leave me a message and I get back to them. Same with my mobile so just regard them as a b****y nuisance :-D

My landline hardly ever rings!! Apart from the internet, I don't know why I bother with it as it isn't cheap :-( :-(

Mine is never ending. I have all the family use it so quite a few calls :-D :-D :-D :-D

Lovely sunny day here, not that I am bragging, you understand :-D :-D :-D

First load of washing going on the line in a minute after a bit of hassle trying to get water to the machine :-( :-( Sorted it after flicking the wrong switch and soaking the cupboard :-D :-D

Off to hairdressers this morning and do a food shop. My fridge is looking pretty sorry for itself. Then I think I will just potter.

Why on earth would YG's washer spring a leak because you flipped the wrong switch? :-S

I shan't tell OH that YG's lurgy was caused by the flue jab - he hasn't had one. We bought tickets for an Apple and Cider festival to be used either day this weekend. They were cheap enought to forget about if he doesn't feel up to it. A shame if that happens, but it would be pointless if he feels weak and woolly or hot and cold.

Morning DET. It could be water supply switch that YG meant methinks. I am just sorting the online banking then off to stock the ever empty cupboards and fridge :-D

Mmm, now to try to explain the water shower :-D :-D

There is connection under the sink, a bit like a large 'Y' piece connector I suppose, plus some copper piping. One connection is for the washer and the other for the dishwasher that is still standing in the hall. Amongst it all is also the waste pipe from the washer so it is quite complicated under there to the novice plumber :-D :-D :-D On each of the infill pipes there is a small blue lever that you push up or down to open or shut off the water to the machine. I opened the wrong one and water gushed out of the empty connection for the dishwasher :-D :-D :-D :-D

Is your OH not feeling any better, DET :-( It will be a shame to miss the festival, even though you don't stand to lose a lot if you can't make it. Just think of all that scrumpy you could have sampled :-D :-D

Ah - get it now! I couldn't understand why a lever connected to the washing machine would gush out water into the cupboard as it was already connected. :-S

OH thinks he'll be OK for tomorrow, but we'll play it by ear.

been busy here went to the shop on way home all is calm and quiet the weather has been nice here too
