I hope the rain has stopped for long enough to get the washing dry!! There is a good breeze, so fingers crossed!! :-D :-D

I was a good girl and got up with the alarm at 6am. Curtains down, bedroom furniture removed and ready for the off. The plasterer is here now doing his stuff!! :-D :-D One step closer :-) :-)

As none of the Nut Lodgers volunteered to take my ironing basket on, I am tackling it myself >>>>>>>>>>>>> well, the ironing board is up and the iron at the ready. That's as far as it has got at the moment :-D :-D

YG - You’re further on into your day than we are, but that’s not unusual! We both need a good kick up the derrière to do something constructive.

There’s a ‘steaming day’ at a sewage pumping station we might go to if we can brave the rain. We went years ago when they had a visitor’s day at the sewage works….which isn’t a smelly as you might think. Of course, we might just have got used to the pong.

We’re having problems with our internet. Some sites load properly, others take an age and a day. The broadband speeds are good and the PC is working properly. OH thinks a server must be undergoing maintenance or something. Its been going on for a few days now and driving me potty.

He decided it's too wet so we are staying in. Not that I was particularly enamoured at looking at steam pumping engines, but all the same... :-|

Afternoon all N has gone home after roast pork lunch sorry they ate it all today and rhubarb and apple crumble.just done the dishes now a quick cuppa before packing for hastings tomorrow

I think you made the right decision to stay at home, DET, if it was anything like the weather here :-( :-(

I have managed to get all the ironing done, clean the bedroom after the plasterer finished, hang the curtains back up and cook a roast dinner!! I am relaxing now :-D :-D

My word YG what a busy lady. I put off my ironing until tomorrow and had a lazy afternoon

I have a suspicion that if the plasterer hadn't been here, the ironing wouldn't have got done :-D :-D i felt guilty sitting while he was working, so it motivated me to get off my backside :-D :-D

I was in and out with the washing and thought it would never get dry, but there was a dry spell this afternoon. It started raining again at teatime and hasn't stopped since :-( :-(

I cheated and cut down on the ironing by using the drier ;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D

I am starting to regret having replaced my washer/drier with just a washer. The engineer put me off and I did have a few problems, always with the drier, but when the weather is like this, it is difficult without it. I guess I have to live with the decision!! :-( :-(


Oooh er, we can't have Mr Bates on his own. If she doesn't want him, I'll have him :-D :-D :-D :-D

Ahhhh Don't tell me I am recording it as we had to record last weeks and have not had a chance to watch it yet :-0 :-0 :-0

We usually do but we had visitors last Sunday and we have been busy all week so have not watched it

morning all we have had a lovely weekend ,just looking in ready to get organised ,its pouring here with rain so hope it wont upset the travel today ,will try and lookin midweek if we get the chance somewhere ,

Morning all - fingers crossed that the trains are running OK today to darn suff. Unless there's a land slip, they should be OK. Have a lovely time at the coast. Can't say relaxing as you'll probably be doing a deep clean! We're supposed to be having a few dry days when you can get out and enjoy the sea air. Lets hope the Bonfires aren't washed out!

OH has gone to work - he'll probably all smug when he catches me still in jim-jams when he gets back in an hour or so :-P
