A bit dull with rain forcast later. Keep dry and warm if you are under the cloud!

Morning, a grey wet day here DET :-P :-P :-P. Bloomin man came to service the boiler and caused a major leak :-| :-| :-|. Fortunately for him he managed to fix it before it caused any real damage.

Arggh! Stupid man! You'd have thought he'd know better? Are you going to tip off the HA?

We went to a talk this morning put on by a local tourist centre...all about Ghosts in the north of our county :-D
It wasn't quite what we expected, but interesting all the same and prety good ticket value which included a biccie and 'proper' coffee :-D

You will be going 'ghost busting' next. DET, particularly if there's a whiff of an almond croissant :-D :-D

Who mentioned Almond croissants? Now that's an idea for breakfast! You're leading me into (more) bad habits, although I think we'd give ghost hunting a miss.

One of the stories the speaker told was about the 'Bluebell Hill' ghost. Bluebell Hill refers to a main road which connects to the M20. The ghost is a young woman. A car driver either thinks they hit her, or give her a lift to a house in Gillingham but she has disappeared from the car by the time they arrive. The occupants of the house say that the driver had seen their daughter who was killled in a road accident some years previously.

It turns out that it is totally made up - an author claims he made up and told the story verbally - it has become an urban myth! :-D

Hello :-D :-D :-D :-D. Nothing amiss last night I had the evening to myself so caught up with some programmes I had on the box.

That sounds like a lot of so called ghost stories DET. though I do believe in something lingering on after we have departed this life. I have had some and do have experiences that I have not been able to explain.

We took advantage of the mild weather and went out for the day. Good old NT ;-)

Evening DET. Last night was good I needed that :-D. Made up for it today though as I have just finished cleaning the kitchen after the mini Gooners cake baking. Bigger one has a class cake stall at school tomorrow so I got them busy. They make much better cakes than me :-D

Yummy - They've a good teacher!

You know you'll miss them and the mess when they eventually find a new home ;-)

I will miss them but I will relish a bit of me time. Looks like I will have them here for a while yet though things went pear shaped on the house front :-(

What a week from h*** this one has been at work, but at long last, I am on leave for a week :-D :-D :-D :-D

I am off up to the fish'n'chip shop for some scampi and chips soon. Feeling lazy :-D :-D

Do you remember when, in the early 70's, scampi-in-a-basket, or chicken-in-a-basket was the height of fine dining for us young'uns ;-)

Its a pity Maz had her time off work this past one, rather than next; you could have had a day out together. No doubt you have lots planned around the house which will take your mind of work <3

Evening DET.

I changed my mind about the scampi as I couldn't be bothered to go out again!! I had pancakes and syrup which was rather naughty, but nice!!

I do remember meals in baskets very well and I really enjoyed them :-) :-)

I have got plenty to do this next week. I am taking eldest gd out to a new restaurant that has opened in the mall called Cosmo tomorrow night. I am having the kitchen blind put up again and have to paint the bathroom cupboard so that I can get all the towels and toiletries away and someone is coming on Monday to design some wardrobes for the bedroom. Then a birthday present to buy for youngest gd :-D :-D That will keep me going for a while :-D :-D

I am just having my last cuppa before bed. I'm really tired tonight and have started with a sore throat, so I hope my week off isn't going to be ruined. Hopefully a good night's sleep will kill off any lurking germs :-( :-(

Oh dear YG don't go get poorly. I have only just got over my poorly state it has taken almost 3 weeks.

I can have a lay-in tomorrow morning, so it might do me the world of good :-) :-) I don't normally get colds since I have started having the flu jab, but I think I am over tired and run down at the moment.

I daren't let my gd down tomorrow night, or else I will be in trouble!!
