Morning YG - Why on earth are you having water leaks when you didn't before? Sloppy plumbing or has the water pressure increased?? To a certain extent the kitchen ones can be explained by the 'new fit', but the bathroom cupboard?

Apparently there is another B&Q 'club' which gives discounts - OH brushed it off the last time we were there. Further investigation is needed

morning l YG and Det, A has for the most part kept on top of it all including the washing .but the shower room is awfull to clean properly asits got a non slip surface so i dry it then hoover all the walls and corners before trying to get all the dust and bits off with water ,I have a long handled angled scrubbing brush which then use which are only available on Janitorial sites but well worth it .i uesde them in kitchen days they will also take a cloth underthem too to rub walls and dusting too .

I have had leaks under the kitchen cupboard since they did the re-fit, but they were eventually rectified (supposedly) on Monday. There is still a very slow drip from one of the pipes at the back somewhere. In the bathroom, they have added pipework to the boiler for the shower and that leak was also fixed on Monday, but there is a slight drip from somewhere under the boiler now :-( :-( :-(

The plumber has to come to re-set the pipes from the radiator in the kitchen so that they can fit the trunking properly, so hopefully he will sort the leaks while he is here.

We have a change of foreman for the finished works and he is a bit arrogant, and apparently not even a qualified builder, so he is not a happy bunny with my complaints :-D :-D

You will have to tell me about the new 'club' when you find out more, DET!!

It doesn't seem age restricted, and they have various offers 3fer or discounts etc for specific periods of time. It might be worth looking through the available offers before signing up to see if anything is relevant at the moment. I think we'll stick with OH's OAP card!

Thank you, DET. I will have a look later. It's a pity you can't see the deals without signing up initially, to see whether it is worth it. but as I am frequently in and out of the store, it may be worthwhile joining.

I am going to use my 'Senior' card today, as I need to have the wallpaper ready for Monday, so don't want to miss out on the discount today.

Well, the trip for the wallpaper is over. It didn't take as long as I thought, although I am still not 100% sure about what I chose. The problem is that I saw one paper that I fell in love with and would have been ideal but the person I spoke to said it wasn't as good a quality as Super Fresco, so it may not hide as many sins :-( :-(

We got a can of Dulux Desert Wind 'light + space'. Its supposed to reflect the little natural light in the room. Slightly different to the current magnolia - the advantage of painted walls is that it's cheap and relatively quick to go over it if we change your minds :-D

Mmm, I wish I didn't have to paper the walls, to be honest, DET. It is all additional expense, but I have stuck with Super Fresco so that it can be painted, so won't have to stripped off the next time it needs refreshing.

Evening all, well a very productive morning at the Archive. Loads sorted and filed at last. Nodded of on the sofa with smallest Gooner this afternoon, a whole new meaning to Nanna nap :-D :-D :-D :-D. Woke up just before collecting next size one from her after school Gymnastics club.

I'm in the same club, LG and it is getting a bit scary!! I don't know whether it is because I have so much to think about at the moment that I can't think straight, or I am actually starting to lose the plot :-D

Mine is to much going on for us at the moment, or else I hope it is :-|

Maybe they'll let us share a room when they've sectioned us :-D :-D :-D
