Mine is a large corner plot, almost straight across from the park on a heavy bend and it really whips across. I have a small space down the side and at the back of the shed where it is well protected, so I have moved the large pots round there. Nothing has been left to chance.

Years ago, there was a terrific wind on New Years Eve. We had only just moved into the house three days before Christmas and hadn't received the garage keys so couldn't unlock it. The wind took the roof off, broke it up and harpooned it straight through next door's house roof. I have never tried to stand up in wind as strong as that before and don't want to experience it again :-D :-D

Jumping in to let you know that we survived curry, and it wasn't 'death by chilli', we are still alive.

Now watching a film about Northern Soul for the second time in a week. I really wish I could (temporarily) get rid of my natural salsa wiggle and do N. Soul dancing

I am suffering the Boxing on TV as OH is glued to it :-|. Doing some online jigsaws to relieve my boredom :-\

I'm a bit out of things too LG with OH watching film (I've already seen the Northern Soul one I mentioned). Not bored, I'm currently cleaning picture frames / glass, but feeling a bit lonely from a lack of conversation :-(

It's Nutlodge a-go-go! Seems we're all on tonight, apart from Maz who has locked up and is perhaps battening down the hatches

I think LG has nodded off!! Maz is on sleep over and has managed to settle her charges so might get a peaceful night.

I am off to bed in the hope that I can sleep through tonight. I managed less than 5hrs last night and am shattered.

all is calm here though i recieved a text asking if i had remembered a task about 1am .i will reply by doing the first call there lol
Looks as if we might get the rain mainly ,its mum i always worry about .however her flat is a ground floor one and at the top of a hill .Interestingly the land was purchased by the council was where my mums foster mum' s family farmed ,and my dads family brought the milk from to do the milk round with .I finish about 6 ish tonight so catch you later though i expect cyber space will be affected by the weather .

A lovely bright sunny day here at the moment, but I don't think it is going to last for too long. I am hoping to get one load of washing finished and dried before the clouds start to thicken. :-(

Same here YG. Been up a good while as the Mini Gooners have body clocks that have not adjusted :-|

I was up early too, LG. I got up to make a drink and looked at the clock on the cooker (which I hadn't changed last night), so thought it was 7ish until I came round properly and then the penny dropped! Oh well, it is good practice for getting up at 6am again tomorrow morning :-D :-D

Was sunny here too until half an hour ago, but it's raining quite heavily (but not windy - even after the nine chilli curry!)

Youngest daughter is up from London today, but only until Thursday. I'm looking forward to her reaction to our garden - just realised I've not told you lot - we now have artificial grass. The shed has been cleared of lawnmower, strimmer and anything lawn related
