afternoon all just looking in have had the cat to vet for her booster she was quite restrained today not too much hissing and growling today so it was not too stressful for her froggy helped by carrying her she is a large cat so no light weight

Saw the footie was on tv last night, so knew what LG would be up to!!

Did the spare part arrive for the CH, DET??

I confess to falling asleep last night (again!!)), but can't blame the conference work. Some of it was on Tuesday morning and the rest starts tomorrow :-( :-( :-(

I am still having issues with the bungalow that are dragging me down somewhat, so I am feeling the strain at the moment. It is easier to nod off than sit and get wound up about it!

Surveyors not turning up when I have wasted 'time off in lieu' to fit in their appointment, plumbers that can't mend a leak on the boiler that wasn't there before they started this work. Now have to wait for the manufacturers to send out an engineer. More time off work when he comes.

Part of the kitchen wall now has to taken back to brick and injected, then cemented, then re-plastered. I suppose I will then have to paint it when it has dried out. I will have to cancel the day's holiday booked for Christmas Eve so that I can use it with one other day when they come to do the work as it will be a two day job.

I think I will just throw the towel in :-0 :-0

morning YG i would be really spitting my dummy out by now its attrocious that its all so going wrong .Can you not claim rent or anything to make up for days off loss of income ? its rediculous
I am on a roll here got admin going doinfg some homework ,housework and church admin ,then i need to go and get my meds shopping and do some photocopying on church copier as its cheaper than buying my ink to do lots of work.
am attempting to get some rest later too

Poor YG, we really feel for you. Maz’ idea about demanding a temporary rent reduction is a good one. If you drew up and sent an invoice for hours lost payment, it might actually get paid, or at the least set the cat among the pigeons!

You might be able to insist that they ‘make good’ once the plastering has been done, but unless you trust them in the house by themselves, that could mean more time off. Alternatively, submit a receipt for the cost of the paint you might have bought. If you aren’t happy to leave them to it by themselves, is there a friend you can ask to house-sit? As landlords, you might even be able to persuade someone from the HA to do it.

Good to hear that Maz is on top of things…as usual and that LG found something to keep her littlies still and quiet for a couple of hours.

Had a great time YG! Beautiful city, so much to see and the weather was so much better than I expected. I thought it was going to be similar to here, perhaps a bit colder - but it was 18 degrees when we left at tea time last night.
