drier and it is excellentrsendenoc aveo halsJust a quick visit to say I am still here. Don’t get on much as it is a bit of a performance with slow GR and WiFi.

Very hot here today but preferable to the thunder storms of Saturday evening, not keen on walking home under sheet lightening.

Just read back a bit, I hate buying white goods. We used to have a Hoover washer drier and it was useless, had a hoover washer for a few years now and it is very good. Neither daughter or zi can remember what make it is, she has the same one. I sort of think it is a Grindig.

Good evening Ann it's been quite hot here too :-D

YG Report 11 Jun 2018 21:56

Evening Ann. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. Apart from the thunderstorms, you are obviously having some good weather :-)

LG, Belfry homework? You are a glutton for punishment :-D

R took my ex to Sheffield last week to find his family graves, but had to do a bit of research first as I think the memory is going a little. R found one of my ex's brothers on Billion Graves website, so I had a look at the weekend. Incredibly, there is a photo of my Mum's grave, but none of those around her, yet the guy named as having taken it, uploaded others, so I am wondering what made him take that photo.

LaGooner Report 11 Jun 2018 22:04

My cousin had a similar thing on Find a grave. They had taken a photo of her Mum's grave and it seems there is no connection to our family. Most strange, at first she thought I had put it on as I did do Grandad and Granma's but I had not been to Lincoln since Auntie M died.

I found it a bit disturbing to be honest. I had registered on the website free, but they suggest you purchase an upgrade. Well, to be honest, I am thinking of unsubscribing You can still search for free and I couldn't find much else that related to my family.

I must be up and away now. The evenings always pass so quickly and it's bedtime again :-0 :-0

Sleep well, LG :-) <3

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 12 Jun 2018 09:35

Morning all

LG & YG, don’t be concerned about your relatives headstones appearing on the internet. Although it’s more prevalent in the US, there are volunteers who photo & upload them so they can be used as a FH research tool. Perhaps the surrounding ones in Sheffield weren’t able to be read? Or the photographer thought there might have been a family connection?

We’ve responded to a photo request on a couple of occasions. I’d tried to upload to Billionsgraves but couldn’t work out how. It appeared you could only do so directly from the device not a PC. We’d taken them with a proper camera rather than a Wi-fi enabled phone/camera/tablet. They ended up on findagrave instead.

Good to see you Ann. Have you hired a car to get out & about? I’m not sure if we’ve seen any Grundig appliances or was that a typo? It’s strange how people can have different experiences with the same make. Perhaps some of them were made on a Friday when everyone was tired!

Have fun with the dreaded LG ;-)

Afternoon all.

We’ve bought a washing machine, a Samsung as it had a 5 year warranty as opposed to a 2 year on the other option. Reading the soecs, it says it can be noisy when spinning if placed on wooden floors. Argh!

Sad about your dad, David, but it’s all part of the circle of life. As one person dies, many more are born.

You do have ‘fun’ Maz! Don’t you just love ‘care in the community’?

Mazfromnorf

YG Report 12 Jun 2018 17:39

Evening everyone :-)

DET, well done with the purchase. A 5 year guarantee sounds good to me. The manufacturers must have some faith in it :-0 I hope is all well when you try it for the first time.

I was a bit concerned at the quick introduction of a 'special offer' package on Billion Graves and I also felt as though I needed to volunteer to upload photos. I don't think my phone is good for apps, so not sure whether my digital camera would do the job. The other thing I didn't like was that someone other than the person who took the photograph put on what I presumed to be the name of the churchyard, but it is wrong, unless there is only one general term that covers all graveyards in the town :-S :-S :-S :-S

Maz, you have a nice run of days off now, so make sure you get some 'me time' as well getting your chores done :-) :-)

You had uniform out again and didn't call me :-D :-D I will have to spit my dummy out now :-D :-D :-D :-D

David, anniversaries of losing our parents are never easy, no matter how long it has been. I can quite easily still shed a tear for my Mum at any time.

LG, are you still buried under paperwork, or is it general unmentionables :-D :-D
