Flipin ‘eck, Maz! That seems to be around 5 Miles! Hope you’ve found a bus to get you back. You certainly deserved those fish n chips.

We’ve spent most of the afternoon pottering and replanting the herbs. We use quite a few of them in cooking & they smell nice too. We’ve also cleaned out the water butts as they were almost empty again. That’s one disadvantage of having so many pots planted up. We’ve got to the point of saving the riinsing water to try & cut down on clean water usage. :-0

Evening everyone :-)

Crikey, Maz, you have certainly walked enough today. Did you manage a lemon top as well as the fish'n'chips ;-) ;-) LG will be jealous if you did :-D :-D

We are supposed to be getting some rain overnight and tomorrow, so if you have the same, DET, it will help to start filling the water butts again! I use spare water in the washing up bowl to put on the plants in the tubs. Hopefully I have managed to revive the ones that were dropping their leaves.

Morning all

Glad you enjoyed your day out, Maz. So often we ignore interesting places almost on our doorstep in favour of going miles & miles away.

YG, sadly we haven’t had any rain, nor are (currently) expected to in the next 7 days. I’ve noticed the farmers are watering their fields. Despite the deluge a few weeks ago, they’re talking about domestic hosepipe ban.

For those planning shopping today, have fun!

Morning everyone :-)

It started off sunny, after a small amount of overnight rain but has now turned overcast and is raining again, albeit only a little. Very handy when I had just put the washing out :-D :-D :-D

Nothing special to do today other than the routine tasks, so a quiet weekend in store as far as I know.

Maz, are you feeling the after effects of all the walking yesterday? Pleased you had a lovely day. Good for you :-) :-)

DET, enjoy your day whatever you decide to do with it. Are you likely to see BM, J & A today?

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 16 Jun 2018 10:58

Morning YG.

Although we haven’t been contacted yet, I wouldn’t be surprised if BM etc drop round as it’s Fathers Day tomorrow. Both we & they are going out on Sunday but in different directions!

The neighbourhood has its Garden Safari today. Basically certain people open their gardens to visitors in exchange for a small charitable fee. I’ve been intending to go for several years but have never made it....yet!

Aren’t you shopping today, or is that already factored in?

YG

YG Report 16 Jun 2018 11:12

Morning DET :-)

The shopping is part of the plan. It is not a big shop, so won't take long, thankfully :-D
I might even stay very local today :-D

Your OH will be in need of a nap later if A tires him out again ;-) ;-) Is he a football fan and glued to the World Cup or are you managing to avoid most of the matches? They mostly seem to be in an afternoon at the moment, so I am avoiding them whilst at work. Perhaps when England matches start there will be recordings played in the evenings, but that depends on how long the team can manage to stay in the game!!

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 16 Jun 2018 11:31

Support your local shop keepers :-D

Thankfully he isn’t interested in football. He used to watch the England games so he knew what people were talking about at work. 2 of those are in the evening & 1 next Sunday afternoon. It might be a good day to go out :-D

Yep, we’ve had a phone call...they’re coming after 2pm. Strike off the Garden Safari for another year!

Best laid plans of mice and men, DET :-D :-D :-D

I'm sure you will enjoy their visit though :-) :-) :-) :-)

Although I have done some jobs this morning, I have spent plenty of time sitting doing some banking and admin, so really need to move myself now. It's almost lunch time!!

Catch you later and have fun with A :-) :-)

Evening everyone :-)

Wow, Maz, well done with the weight loss. That is really good and I bet all the walking you did yesterday will help towards a bit more :-) :-) :-)

We have just had a torrential downpour, then a half an hour of lighter rain, but it has passed over now and it is pleasant now. I suspect not enough rain to give the garden a really good soaking though!

R came at lunchtime to cut all the grass and edge it all,. He even did the two grass verges outside the gate where I park my car, so at long as the grass is dry, I can stand the vacuum there to do the car!!

We had a lovely long chat and it is nice to be able to discuss some things just on our own :-) :-)

I am now just finishing getting tea ready then the feet will be up for the evening.

Maz - can you borrow the pony to trim your grass? ;-)
That's a fantastic weight loss - well done you! You'll certainly be busy on Monday with the glaziers coming in. Lets hope you have a quiet night at work & can get some sleep.

YG - hope R wasn't having to share any marital problems with you. On the other hand, it might have helped him to discuss worries he doesn't want to 'burden' M with.

BM & A were here for over 2 hours. It helped J get on marking GCSE exams without distraction. A had a sulk & didn't want to go home :-D

YG

YG Report 16 Jun 2018 19:42

Definitely not marital problems, DET. There is nothing wrong there at all :-) We were discussing things in general about life, how things have changed over the years etc etc :-D :-D

If A didn't want to go home, she is obviously feeling vey comfortable with you both
:-) :-)

Maz, I hope you have a good shift tomorrow :-)

Morning everyone :-)

It's a very pleasant morning, with a mix of sun and cloud and a nice breeze. Just the right temperature for me :-)

There's nothing special planned, just a pottering day doing odd jobs and I might visit the garden centre for a couple of shrubs if I have time :-)

Maz, don't forget to call me if the blues and twos are out in force :-D :-D :-D ;-)
