Good Morning Ann, can I send OH some more to add to the pile :-D :-D. It is very breezy here too so hopefully the washing will dry

We decided to phone but spoke to FiL. He said he'd checked on the Menu (calendar!) but was still confused if we were going or not. Over a number of months we've tried to settle into a routine - we'll turn up on a Thursday unless there's a good reason not to. If we know in advance, we'll write it on the calendar eg next week we'll go on Wednesday as we've been booked on Thursday to look after A for a couple of hours.

LG - time spent more pleasantly playing in the garden than doing the devils own work. Its certainly fresher today.

A bit breezy here, but quite pleasant with the sunshine. I have a load of towels washing and live in hope that the wind will dry them before bedtime. otherwise they will be back on the line in the morning :-D :-D

Evening YG. Has today been better than yesterday?

Parental visit went off OK. Don’t shout too soon but the CC/DC debacles seem to have settled down. We’re having all bank post sent here to ensure that we know things arrive. We took over their bank savings a/c statement. She still seems confused as to where the deposits have come from & why. As she hadn’t heard of, or remembered, the £1k allowance on interest, she was getting worked up about declaring the few quid!
OH has finally recognised that both of them have declining memories.

Despite their objections, I’ve cleaned around the loo in the main bathroom. it’s still a bit pongy. May be a new loo brush is called for? FiL says he’ll get one. That’s a bit difficult as he doesn’t go out by himself!

Yes, today has been better, but someway to go to reach a happy state :-D :-D At least there were no morons on the road today :-D :-D

I'm pleased that you have got the bank issues sorted, even though they may still have memory lapses over certain things. At least you have a handle on the situation now :-)

As you will more than likely end up replacing the loo brush, at least it will make next week's shopping very exciting!! Decisions decisions :-( :-( :-0

Well, this evening is turning into a disaster :-0 :-0 :-0 I forgot to turn the oven off at 7pm, I forgot to turn the washer on and apparently there has been a power cut somewhere near by (although it hasn't affected me) and there is no water following the power cut (which is affecting me) Did you get all that, LG :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0

If I would you I would have a good look around to see if Sweetpea is hiding in a cupboard somewhere ;-) :-D :-D.

One thing's for sure, I didn't have any washing to hang out. It was still dry in the washer :-D :-D :-D :-D

Apparently there is a problem with one of the pumps at the water works and they are hoping to resolve it soon. They better had before bedtime because I want my cuppa :-0 :-0 :-0

Oh dear no cuppa :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0. I am happy to go without food but my caffeine kicks most definitely not :-|.

I'm gonna cry if I can't have my cuppa and it's no good going next door because he will be in the same state :-( :-( :-( :-(

I always keep a bottle of water in the cupboard just in case. Likewise when it goes out of date we keep it in the car for washers etc.

I never thought about that. I could nip up to the local shop and buy a couple of bottles. Thank you, LG :-) :-)

I've just tried the taps and it seems to be back on, although it's not back to full pressure yet, particularly on the hot tap. I've filled the kettle and the water filter is full, so I think I can manage as it should be ok in the morning. If it hadn't been on I would have gone to the shop
