Morning all

Sorry to those who’ve had such high indoor temperatures. It must take quite some time to cool down. I do get a bit frustrated with OH because he isn’t opening the bedroom windows when he goes to bed. We keep them, the curtains & door closed during the day. It doesn’t take long to cool down once I’ve flung them open!

Not to sure what we’ll do today. There’s always the ironing & J gave me some begonias she didn’t need. She’d ordered 15 & received 30!

YG Report 30 Jun 2018 10:14

Morning everyone :-)

I had a reasonable night's sleep, thank goodness and am feeling a bit more refreshed this morning I think now is a good time to sit in the garden for half an hour and enjoy the sun before it gets too hot, so I am off out there with a cuppa to meditate
:-D :-D :-D

Nothing out of the ordinary planned for today, so apart from the unmentionables and food shop, I will take it as it comes.

DET, do you have somewhere in mind to plant the begonias? They will keep you busy for a while!!

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 30 Jun 2018 10:36

Morning YG.
If you leave the shopping until later, you can cool off in the chiller aisles :-D

There’s plenty of gaps in the border but, unfortunately, they’ll be in the shade. Even though the begonias will bend forward, something is better than nothing!

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 30 Jun 2018 12:53

Phew. It’s hot in the sun when you’re doing things. Just finished cutting back the growth along the neighbours drive. She was getting her car stuck in it!. She’s admitted she can’t cope with her garden anymore. It would have helped if she’d cut back hard when she had the strength. She finds it difficult to distinguish ‘pretty’ v ‘practical’ when it comes to outside. 2” off rather than the 6” - 9” she should have done.
I’m not weeding her flower beds!

Good afternoon to you all, hope you're enjoying the weather.
Been a while since the referendum that everyone wanted, still chaos.
The former Labour leader must be having a laugh in Brussels.

AnninGlos Report 30 Jun 2018 14:50

We went in to town on the bus, it was not too bad and quite cool in the shops. I had a 10% off voucher for Debenhams and they had a 20% off day (the ten was on top of the twenty for card holders. I actually bought two tops and a dress so was pleased with that. OH bought some after shave. He thought he had bought body spray (reduced Paco Rabanne) but didn't check the box. However he uses the after shave too so that is ok. When I was trying to buy him after shave at Christmas I was told by several shops that they had stopped doing it. Maybe Debs found some buried in their store!

I also bought a pair of light weight trousers in M&S so a good mornings shop. Then had lunch in Wetherspoons with a small glass of cider.

Bus home was chaotic though. We were pleased to get to the stop (terminus) as the bus drew up so had a choice of seats. Lucky we thought. The bus was just about to go when a huge group of Easterm Europeans, maybe Rumanian got on young girls lots of children and babies a couple of men. I reckon 10/12 adults plus children. Good ness knows where they were going we could only assume they lived on one of the traveller sites. All well dressed and clean but very noisy. We were glad to get off.

OH now gone to change the gas bottle for the barbecue which gave up last night.
