YG Report 2 Jul 2018 16:43

Afternoon everyone :-)

LG, is your outside meeting taking place tonight? Are you ditching me again :-D :-D :-D

DET, you do right to have a holiday when you feel like it. As you say, we are all a long time dead, so need to enjoy life while we can :-)

It's another hot one again and I have just got the hosepipe out ready for when the garden is in the shade this evening and it is going to have a dousing. The annual water statement has just arrived and I obviously used less last year as it has reduced, so I am making hay while the sun shines . :-D :-D :-D

That’ll learn you to pull things off, LG :-D
Will you be painting or wallpapering?

Hoses with a trigger spray are great. You can adjust the flow but not waste water when you move from one area to another. Mind you, if you have to fill a can to cart around, you’ll probably use less water overall.
Although many areas are requesting people not to use hoses, only NI has an actual ban.

A section of our front grass was burnt when the windows were changed. They’d laid a section on the grass. Although we did water it a few times, we gave up when the weather turned hot. We’ve noticed that there are a few shoots of green; there is some hope!

As OH had cabin fever after the weekend, we went for coffee at the garden centre. I’ve treated myself to a new Min/Max outside thermometer as the Min has got stuck on the original. It’s got BIG numbers :-D :-D

I am cheating and putting a border over the place it's been as the walls aren't too bad hopefully a good wash is all they need. Must finish getting ready now so hopefully catch you later , behave while I am gone ;-) :-D :-D :-D

Good thinking ‘outside of the box’ :-)

Ann, yes I do remember Cas. How come you’re in touch with her mother?
Enjoy your few days away. Is this to relatives or are you doing your own thing?

If your name is on the account David you have every right to question the cash that is a lot of money .and if and when you need to pay for care she will have those sums taken into consideration .
You can go to CAB office at any time or the police if you suspect theft .

Maz it has been a very sad year for Caz as only a few months back one of her children had a still born daughter. Yes she is a lovely person and her family mean everything to her

Morning all

Don’t let the breeze fool you both; the sun can still burn! It’s nearly 25c already.
We had a much more comfortable night with only a sheet & light cover. Although it’s a bit more of a fuss to make the bed, I’m glad we kept a couple of cotton flat sheets.

Cas has definitely had a bad year. Let’s hope things turn around for her family.

AnninGlos Report 3 Jul 2018 11:09

We prefer to have a sheet under the duvet so in the hot weather it is no problem to just throw the duvet off.

Yes, hoping Caz has a better year next year.

Afternoon all,I had an hour in the garden working in the shady bit drenched in factor 50 so no burn here,I am always super careful about that. I came in and did the devil's work of all things but at least it is done and all away. Off to the Belfry this afternoon and a case of opening the room and putting the fan on straight away.

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 3 Jul 2018 12:19

Has anyone spotted factor 25 sun cream? There only seems to be f30 or f15.
F25 works best for me; a bit of a tan but no burn. In normal circumstances, F30 is a sun block while F15 is ineffective. :-(

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 3 Jul 2018 12:23

Have you tried Superdrug DET they seem to have a really good range.I never use anything less than 50 as I burn quite easily I have such a delicate skin and disposition ;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D. Must away and sort lunch so catch you later and stay safe in this heat.

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 3 Jul 2018 12:35

Thanks for the suggestion. Next time we’re near one, I’ll have a look. Mind you, the shelves could be empty!
You, a delicate disposition? Pull the other one :-D

Try not to ‘cook’ at the belfry. Doesn’t the climate control work in the room?
