There is a rule we were taught regarding spelling I before E except after C.

So how did that genius Einstein make two spelling mistakes in his own name ?

YG

YG Report 12 Jul 2018 21:51

Because he was German, David and they don't have the I before e rule :-)

Hope you get there in the dry Maz. We have been promised rain too. Trouble is, not sure if I want it or not. Yes, the garden needs it and the wayter supply we are told. However, I love these days when you can just throw on a t shirt and crops and not worry about a coat, and usually in UK once it starts to rain that is the end of summer!!

Morning all

Maz, Do you have a small umbrella you can carry with you, just in case it rains while you’re travelling? Hope your shift is a quiet one & you can get some sleep.

Ann, we thought the same thing about rain = summers over. Although everything can change, we still aren’t forecasted rain for the next 7 days. Heavy rain will just bounce off the hard ground & cause flash floods. At least the anticipated temperatures are lower than last weekend.

The neighbours daughter asked us yesterday to show her mother the estate agents blurb for a bungalow. The neighbour loves it. Unfortunately, we don’t think she’ll be able to find a buyer for her current home in time. It isn’t even on the market yet! She won’t break her Tues & Thurs shopping routine to accommodate an Estate Agent. Goodness knows what will happen if prospective buyers want to visit. :-(

YG, enjoy your pampering this evening, & time with fur. Will you have her overnight?

Well it keep coming over very dark with black clouds but no rain yet. :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 13 Jul 2018 14:51

A gentle shower would be good :-D

A question for you as you've recently visited Ludlow. Did you spot any major supermarkets close by? The bungalow the neighbour fancies is half way between there and Leominster. Although she says her daughter could take her into Hereford once a week we're looking at closer, public transport accessible, destinations.

Spoke too soon, we now have quite a shower going on. :-D :-D

AnninGlos Report 13 Jul 2018 15:28

Det I didn't see it but googling there appears to be a Tesco in Ludlow and a Morrisons, Aldi and Co-op in Leominster.

It was quite a heavy shower lasting 30 minutes, now just gentle rain.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 13 Jul 2018 18:36

Thanks Ann. I’ll let her know. We’ve already told her she’ll have to change her shopping habits!
She thought there was only one bus a week out of the hamlet. It’s not a good service but it’s actually 3 times a day to Leominster & Ludlow. The service is hourly from Leominster into Hereford. First bus out & afternoon bus in & it’s doable. Personally I think it’s too isolated for an elderly person so I’ll have to hold my tongue!

Evening everyone :-) :-)

We had a few spot of rain here, enough to just wet some of the ground, but no more. It is a lovely sunny evening :-) :-)

Fur is sleeping at the side of me, after disrupting my typing!! She is not staying overnight so I will take her home about 10.30pm and the family should be back around midnight.
