Last time her trip to RVI and stay in the assessment suite was a shock.

I'd thought it was connected in some way to the labyrinthitis she's had for

years but they thought it was a mild heart attack. :-0

It's Ellen's shoulder and tendons inflamed. <3

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 16 Jul 2018 14:17

That must be really painful, but at least it’s not a major organ. You’ll have to wait on her while she’s incapacitated :-D

While we were out collecting the fan, I’ve treated myself to a 2nd pair of cheap cropped trousers this time, at OHs insistence, in cerise. He wanted me to get a lime green top to go with them. No, my name is not Michelle Portillo! :-|

YG Report 16 Jul 2018 16:52

Evening everyone :-)

Not a drop of rain here, although we looked as though we might get some. It is very heavy and hot, but after a cloudy day, the sun is out again. I did manage to give the shrubs and pots a good soaking last night and was hoping that we might have had a downpour today. None forecast until Friday now :-(

Well done on the purchase, DET is this more holiday clothes or just to cope in the heat? A lime green top would be nice with some white or beige trousers, but not with cerise. I am in total agreement there. You would look like a strawberry and lime lollipop :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

David, I hope Ellen is feeling a little more comfortable. Has the doctor been or does she have to visit him?

After yet another phone call to the council about the gas flue, they have now apologised about me having to wait 3 months 'at risk' and are coming out on 31st July to fix it :-0 :-0 :-0 :-| :-| No explanation offered for the delay :-P :-P

LG, you have been dashing round in the heat this morning. I hope you have a fan in the belfry to keep you cool :-)

Evening YG. You must be wishing for Friday for 2 reasons now; the end of the week and possibly rain :-D

The purchases were primarily so I’ve a clean pair when the current ones are in the wash. Although my normal jeans are OK, they can get a bit warm.

OH has put the fan together, purely to save time you understand. It’s such a lovely breeze that I wish we had one ourselves. He’s now trying to type up operating instructions in line with the KISS principle. He forgets that, in his parents case, old dogs *can’t* learn new tricks.

Following a phone call to the surgery the Doctor came here and gave Ellen an examination. What we "thought" it might be is not the case. The pain is from her
shoulder and surrounding tendons. He prescribed pain killers.

YG Report 16 Jul 2018 17:37

Hopefully they will only have to play with the buttons, DET, although mine is getting on a bit now, so perhaps they have changed and are more complex!

David, pleased that it is nothing more serious than the shoulder, although they can provide a lot of pain, The tablets will soon sort her out :-)

It has dried up now and gone muggy again

Basic models are still made, YG, but everywhere is sold out. We’ve had to get the next grade up.

Me - You’ll have to write out some basic instructions.
Him - it’s written next to the buttons
Me - Well, if I can’t read it how can they?

They now have a nice large print Idiots Guide. :-D

David, what’s Ellen been up to, to cause her injury?

YG, they’ve taken a long time to get round to your flue. You should have shouted louder & earlier ;-)

Maz, unlike the rest of us, at least you’ve had some rain!

YG

YG Report 16 Jul 2018 21:17

This weather has a lot to answer for! The windowsills are covered in tiny little corn fly type insects, we've had the tiny black beetles and then on Saturday morning as I was laid in bed reading, I notice something crawling along the carpet by the skirting board on the external wall. It was a massive brown beetle :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 I have never seen one so big, it was like an elephant :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 I managed to get it on the dust pan and put it outside, but how it came to be indoors in the first place, I have no idea :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
