Very quiet in here. Having the day off work work. Very sick, rabies, myxamatosis, glandular fever, headache, bad allergy, cough, cough!!!

Actually went to help with the final, very last, house cleaning tasks which turned out to be a little more time consuming than anticipated.

However, the Blonde One handed over the house today. Took three policement, two firemen and the new owner an hour to make her stop, "doing things", and hand over the keys.

No idea from whence she has inherited this perfectionist trait.

Oh well it (the house) is now renovated, sold, clean up, vacated and now in the hands of its new owner.

We are off to the Swedisth "I" place on Saturday. Need to buy a few things for the rental. "It is only a rental, it is only a rental.'

??? Why is RMS tied up with yards (metres) of 100 mile an hour tape with a boakin wrapped around her mouth. I needed to tell her I took delivery of two certificates, opened the envelope, took a look....... and went off to do something else. And spent the next half an hour looking for them.

It's catching....... Found them, eventually, on the floor of the witch's work room under a pile of photographs which were on the desk next to the pumpkin.

Remember my conversation about my eyesight.

This evening I trotted down to the optomertrist and picked up my glasses.

Oh Wow!!! The world is bright, colourful, and is just so differerent.

As I said before I have worn glasses for reading and computering for a few years now. OK for lots and lots of years, but I have never needed glasses for distance vision.

What a difference they make to what I can see. People have expressions, and faces and the colours in the shops are bright and I can read the signs. And the telly....now I can read the menu and the commercials..... what a lot of things I've been missing out on. Well I suppose I can take them off while the commercials are on.

I might try them out while driving tomorrow. New experience.

FH question for you. If a man died in 1844 and the age at death is put as 35 my math says he was born sometime around 1809. How much of a variation could you work on plus or minus that date. I was thinking about five years more or less. I am asking because others have this person with a dob of 1822 in their trees. I am still hunting for his birth and am not willing to accept this other birth date as correct. The later birth date throws other events in his life out of whack somewhat. I have just received his church burial record.

Have you noticed it is now much easier to see which threads you have killed. If you look in the "My threads" box and your name is the last person to post on a thread, then you can add that thread to your list.
Da, da, dum, dum, dum, Another one bites the dust!!!

Nope - we can keep it going during the UK day. Perhaps RMS ought to sneak in while she has her evening cocoa to keep Auntie company!

And here were we thinking that AS was a straight down the middle sort of gel - pulling a sicky? Tut. But then, you do work work during your official holidays, suppose its only fair.

And why have you got a pumpkin on your desk? Even though your seasons are the wrong way round, October is still October and Halloween!

re the FH age. Yep, around 1810. Can't see how they got a yob of 1820, unless he was a late baptism? Hard work may have prematurely aged him, but there is a heck of a difference between 22 and 35 at time of death - even if they didn't know their own accurate ages.

Feel rather self satisfied today - I'd had a 'discussion' with &co about the over reliance on electronic technology. The school I work at had a systems failure and power cuts 2 mornings this week, causing chaos in the various offices and computer using classes. It is due to move into a new build 'paper-less' (which will do away with most text books and hand written work) building in June. If/when the local grid, let alone their servers cut out, what do reckon will happen ?!?!?
Bring back the slates and chalk - lol ;-)
