All you pussy cat and garden lovers. There is a thread on chat with a query about an abandoned cat and a dug up garden.

Should be right up your alley. Meeeeeeooooowwwww!!!

Oh dear us three in the same boat. A muddled fairy/witch, a killer queen, and a brown owl who can't sing.

All of whom lose things. We should get on together just fine.

I am waiting to hear from Canterbury Cathedral about my convict. Talk about going to the top of the mountain. I wonder if the archbishop will reply to my email. Well that, I am told, is where the information I need is stored.

Anyone want a good word put in for them????

I think Spot should be sitting on my desk instead of the pumpkin. Except that it looks far too flimsy for his weight. Hmmm perhaps a tin of milo. But that might be construed as advertising. Or is it misconstrued???

Here kitty, kitty, kitty.......meeeeeowwww, purr, purr.

Go Spot!! Go!!

Good grief! Where has everyone been?

Hallloooo oooo ooo oo o. .

it don't 'alf echo in 'ere.
Been busy, busy, busy. Work from the crack of dawn (for us) until lunchtime, them home to collect the shopping list, out for lunch at the supermarket, then 2 different shops . Home, unpack, etc, etc, etc.

If it's any consolation, today I've bought a new can of spray polish. I'm absolutely sure a new one was bought last month, and they usually last at least 6 with the amount of (not) use they have. But where did it go? :O

Looks behind the throne, buries under empty bickie packets.
Nope - it must be a hole in cyberspace which has swallowed them up.

I'm The Killer Queen!!!!

Off to watch TV.

~~~~~ waves from afar~~~~~ Just knew that would bring LG out of hiding!
We seem to be like ships that pass in the night (literally, tonight), cos am about to log off.
Been browsing student lists for next week - got to supervise 2 lads in isolation for a couple of hours. Was dreading it, but..............they are both my 'best' yuofs from when I was working full time!! Yay!
Tatty bye - I'm knackered! Hope to catch you in the morning if anyone is around. Said I'd 'dump stuff' on AS's Dixon thread when the sun comes up. Mind you, she will probably be tied up watching her footie team getting thrashed. :D
Before that I am IKEA ering with the Blonde One. Needs cupboard and wardrobes of which there are insufficient in the rental. Oh the joys of downsizing.
I won't be back until middle evening my time.
Thanks for the info offer DET. I will talk to you later.
Goodnight to the rest of you and try to snore quietly. :P :P :P
+++DetEcTive+++ Report 14 May 2011 09:16
Ooo - I lurve Ikea, but OH hates it! At least now they have 'escape routes' in the Lakeside one so you don't have to follow the path all the way round. And apparently you can get cheap food in the restaurant. Not that he will stay in there long enough to try it out - lol
Put some potatoes on the bottom shelf - kitty might find it too uncomfortable to claim as its own
Ought to pay a few bills today. We lost the Power supply one and had to ask for a duplicate. Ho Hum.
I'm not keen on Ikea, most of the furniture looks like something I could have knocked up myself. My niece loves it, walking into her house is like walking into Ikea.
Oh, I say! Dust those fascinators off girls!
Quote from Maz on Daff's thread about her avatar........
*It might be a prince one day *
Uh, Huh??
Ikea - you either love it or hate it, but it is relatively cheap, and some items are compatible with the more traditional styles. Bed apart, BM's room is furnished with it, all 3 (don't ask) of our desks are from there and we have 2 bookcases in the lounge. Yes, OH would prefer solid wood, but but we ie everyone else, want them this century, not next! :D
I simply had to pop in here (I took my shoes off :-)) as I heard that Maz was kissing a load of frogs as her kitty was still too young.
Have never been in here before *admires decor...nice to see you all :-)
ps..Oh I simply love IKEA, it took me three days to put a bed together but that hasn't put me off!
AuntySherlock Report 14 May 2011 14:58
Greetings all. Had a really busy day which ended with a win to the team. Trip to Ikea was most pleasant and if you haven't tested the food it really is worth a go. Pink custard and that weird risotto is of course available for any Nut Lodgers who happen to be shopping, or just browsing.
Hi ButtercupFields. Welcome to the Nutters thread. If you hear a whirring noise and a maniacal cackle, duck!! It will be LG on her broomstick trying to land in the throne room.
I did hear the Blonde One comment that "renovating a house was cheaper than furnishing a rental" and after today's effort I must agree. Now all she has to do is put slot A into slot B and tighten the bolts with a spanner and the resulting edifice will be admired in the National Museum of Unmentionable Objects.
If I look over my shoulder as I type this, I can see the row of Ikea bookcases along the back wall. I understand what it is like to construct an Ikea object. Sort of like Meccano for adults. Oh you lot are too young to understand meccano.
I am off to bed. Will catch up again tomorrow morning. I am waiting for permission to access a convict ancestry site which I am hoping will allow me more info about my convict.
YG Report 14 May 2011 17:39
Evening all.
Welcome ButtercupFields. We are all a little insane on here, but what the heck!! We have the occasional party and we are all dusting off our outfits and fascinators as ladies in waiting for Maz!!
The frog might become a prince lol!!! Why are we waiting??????
Oh joy of joy, my team have won the premiership again!!! Not once, not twice, but nineteen times!!!!
Go and hide LG whilst I gloat!!!!
Ikea! Mmmmm. not sampled it myself as the nearest one to me is about 40 miles away. Son has just furnished gds bedroom with new wardrobes and bed! Was spending last weekend putting it all together I believe. Perhaps a little too deadly for me, as I can't even knock a picture hook in the wall without bending it!! (the hook, I mean, not the wall lol!)
Treated myself to the Kings Speech dvd today, so sometime this weekend I am hoping to be snuggled up on the sofa to watch it >>>>>>
a cuppa and some choccie at the ready too!!
Off to iron my bedding now!! See you later!!!
;-) :P
