Hi ya - returned from the coal face a few hours ago, but did some bits and bobs before 'rewarding' myself with time on here. Washing only went on the line about 90 mins ago, but it should dry - sunny and breezey.

AS - I've replied on the GD thread. And the Arkroyal is in dry dock cos the river has dried up :O

YG, its strange you should pay £10 for the film, but it cost us £8, same chain, although in the so called affluent south!

hi there have had the building inspector here today there are quite a lot of little bits to do still the back door lock has the wrong one fitted ,also the vent in the bathroom is the wrong one and there are a couple of things he wants finishing off too .
i grabbed the opportunity after he went to get the grass cut i have the edges to do yet but they dont take long and there is a bit of weeding yet as well .

No, DET, I paid £8 for the film. They were £10 at A***, so I bought at Sains! Did I lose the plot and say I had paid £10? If so, I wouldn't be at all surprised.

I am currently hanging on to the end of the phone, now more than ten minutes waiting to speak to someone at the tax office. They keep telling me that an advisor will be with me asap, but I am starting to feel an attack of rage coming on!!!

Oh YG I know just how you feel. I have waited in all afternoon for sky engineer. No sign of him so I have just spent 25 mins on the phone putting in a few choice words :-(. They say he is still out and about doing jobs as he is running late. he will need to run when I catch up with him. :-( :-( :P :P

Morning all. Cccccold here this morning but we have been promised some mild temps between 20 and 23 before rain on Saturday. My carrots are going really well I can see little carrotty bits at the top. OH is apparently the only one in this area who still has capsicums growing and the mandarin tree is absolutely loaded. The spring bulbs have stuck their heads above ground so we will have tulips and daffodils in a month or so. And you thought I didn't know nothing about gardening. Oh and my two new indoor plants are still alive. I replaced the plastic ones which I had to wash all the time.

Received some more info on my search for Mr Dixon, however still can not find his parents. Not given up, determined am I.

The CPs and I had a rather noisy soiree. Looks like a few of the older boakins might have happy events soon. We will be overrun with the little blighters. Perhaps we should send a shipment off to somewhere cold where they would be appreciated as scarves or door stoppers.

I've had someone download heaps of info from my A tree and when I click on the link the message comes up that the other tree is not available. Interesting and not much sense when I can access it through the A hints function. Don't mind people using my research but I do like an acknowledgement or a thank you. I know, I know, the info is there to be taken................

Spring flowers in a month or so? Has the world gone topsy turvy? We haven't had our so called Summer yet and here you are talking about your Spring?? I consider mid Sept as early autumn and will be most put out if your spring flowers are out before then. :-(

Its generally agreed we are all 'rather tired' so no midnight carousing: AS will give the neighbourhood a bad name. OK?
