+++DetEcTive+++ Report 22 May 2011 10:18

Ok, Ok...........your message has been received! Been up in body about 45 mins, but not quite in spirit ( only on the 2nd mug of coffee) :D

Bad luck AS team - sounds like BM's RU team's efforts! At least they are in the Finals next week.......but will probably give up in the last 15 mins.

Sounds as if AS has been in the longest partnership of servitude of all of us (RMS parents aside). Not sure if you can ask for Royal Card for yourselves, but you could certainly float the details in front of the offspring next year!

Yes RMS - we can see you! PLEASE don't start singing again!!!! :P

We had a rain shower overnight seen by small puddles in the road, a dribble marks inside the water butts. If any has any rain spare please send it to the southern half of the UK. Actually, some parts also had grassland/moor fires earlier this month, but they seem to have dropped out of the headlines. And Western Scotland has been warned of strong winds likely to cause damage in the next 24 hours. Probably the remnants of Fronts from across the Atlantic.

The Poms weather forecast brought to you by Aunt yS in Oz.

Here you are. It doesn't look too wet for the southern part of your little island. This is for the next couple of days.

Bright with some showers.
Today
Rain will clear eastern counties. Otherwise bright with showers, these heavy and blustery over northern and western hills. Becoming drier from the southwest later. Strong, gusty winds, reaching gale force in places.
Tonight
Most areas becoming dry this evening. But some showers continuing in north and west. Further heavy rain will spread to northwest later in the night with very strong southwesterly winds.
Monday
Heavy rain in the north will spread southwards and ease with the southeast staying mainly dry and bright. Heavy showers and storm force winds expected later in north.

And this is for Tuesday to Thursday. Look out in the norf.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday
Dry and bright in the south on Tuesday, showers and strong winds in north. Rain and strong winds in the north and west on Wednesday. Cooler with showers on Thursday.

Stupid yellow bugs. Got rid of them!!

Lol - that looks like we've been told! its amazing that in such a small island (in relations to Canada or Oz) we have such a varied forecast. And my friend, a keen gardener, says we shouldn't believe the 'rain in the SW' too much as it hasn't been enough where she lives for the garden. And they have to keep topping up the fish pond. :O

AuntySherlock

AuntySherlock Report 22 May 2011 12:17

"The fish pond". Is that the bit of water we call the English Channel between UK and France.

Hmmm I could understand why you would want to keep that full of water. All those furriners trotting across for picnics and excursions. Tut, tut.

By the way I have just found a newspaper article about the birth of OHs grandfather. He was one of triplets and the seventeenth child in the family. I think there were about 21 kids altogether. Imagine collecting modern day family allowance for that many.

Off to do some more looking.

Just noticed that Maz' post is numbered

11,111

Just as well it wasn't all the 6's :D

Glad you had a good weekend, and a bit of a breather before the washing comes home.

Been busy doing nothing so ought to make an effort to feed the throng.

Oh yes, and the stretch of water twixt England and France is know in this house as The Ditch! Think my friend would be rather disturbed if a Ferry turned up in her pond - she's having enough trouble with tadpoles and emerging frogs (no offence Maz) as it is.

AuntySherlock Report 22 May 2011 22:01

I think there is enough singing around here without Spot joining in. OH just shakes his head and says no and Spot will bark. Hmm we could put Spot, RMS and LG in the throne room..........

Very wet and windy overnight. SES mopping up the debris from the storm. My cursor is disappearing every line or so. Must be affected by the weather.

If you are thinking of weather songs we could go on for hours.

April Showers, They call the wind Maria, Wayward Wind, Raindrops are falling on my head, It's Raining Men, hmm that one doesn't fit.

There, there Maz!!! It's either just the hiccups or the visiting fireman has made a lasting impression.

Terrible weather here. Really English stuff. Cold wet windy. Heavens I said that yesterday. Starting to sound like a broken record.

The rental needed a doggy door. Blondie has a very small maltese terrier. Doggy door installed yesterday which is just as well. It is also even more fortuitous that Blondie is very slim. Locked herself outside didn't she. While trying to persuade white fluffy dog to use the new door. So what does any thinking blonde do. Crawled through the doggy door. Did she get stuck. Yes, first her shoulders and then her hips, however in the end she managed to wriggle through. Was the dog any assistance. Absolutely not, and it still won't use the doggy door.

Hello, Waddayareckon. It's catching. Isn't this delightful. Double posting. Everything in duplicate. If you lose one there is a spare one.

Wonder how I managed to do that. Maz, we must be geniuses or is it geniei.

I clicked submit, and it submitted, went off to look at something and when I came back it was sitting there waiting to be submitted, like I had just done an edit.

Ta Da. Magic!!

Hey and my posts have just reached 3000. Milestone of miniscule proportions. Where's the champers. Glug, glug. Yuk, horrible stuff.

I see RMS has Spot singing. Should have been here this morning after a rollicking chorus of "I want to go for my walk" I had to send him outside to see "Dad". Was tired of the noise so I said, "go tell your father", and off he trotted.

LOL at the blonde crawling through the doggy door and getting stuck.

I think AuntyS is just adding extra posts to get to the 3000 mark :D :D

Who started RMS off singing again?

Just off to look for some more tape>>>>>>>>>>>

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 23 May 2011 13:41

Ohhh Deeaarrrrr! They must have added something to the Canadian water. Either that or the close proximity of various female members of the guiding sorority has finally made RMS flip :O

Really can't understand why 'Dad' wanted to teach an old spot new tricks. Could it be a hint that he (OH) needs a bit more company? And the Blonde one, is obviously called that for a reason - lol

Pretty breezy today. Next door are having mature trees lopped - don't fancy what the tree surgeons are up to, swinging around on a length of rope!

Two of you on the bottle!! We can't be doing with that!!! At least Maz got exact duplicates of the time!! Her fingers must have been faster!

RMS, I really enjoyed that singing. Could you start it at 5.30 our time to rouse the slumberers!!

Omg, the image of Blondie crawling through the doggie door. Must give her 10 out of 10 for thinking of it! Better than a huge bill to call out a locksmith! I speak from experience!! Not the crawling bit, only paying the locksmith, I might add!! Don't think my oversized bottie would squeeze through one unless it was a doggie door for a St Bernard!
