Omg, the image of Blondie crawling through the doggie door. Must give her 10 out of 10 for thinking of it! Better than a huge bill to call out a locksmith! I speak from experience!! Not the crawling bit, only paying the locksmith, I might add!! Don't think my oversized bottie would squeeze through one unless it was a doggie door for a St Bernard! :D

I wonder if it is happening on other threads. Re the blonde and phoning a locksmith. She was stuck in the backyard. Fenced in and no phone. I suppose she could have pulled a panel off the fence and squeezed into the next door yard. I don't think she's met the neighbours yet.

what a night lol will have to get the builder back a tile has slipped where they have done my brand new verge on the roof and my extracet fan in the shower is surrounded by brick dust so I am not impressed plus all the insulation is blowing in so there must be a part of the area unsealed in the wall . they are due back anyway

I would not be impressed either but they will probably say the problems were caused by that thick layer of dust from the volcano what's erupted up north somewhere.

Hope they return quickly to fix the problems or the "Aunty and Blondie renovation team" will catapult over and you will really be in trouble. Let me tell you with a caulking gun, a tube of sealant and a pot of polyfilla we can fix anything, until it falls down again!!

Very cold here, top temp today about 14 degrees C. Work is like an oven with everyone running airconditioning on the heat cycle. I don't know what's wrong with an extra jumper or two, or three.

Poor Maz - don't you just hate it when things go wrong? And with newly finished work as well. Do hope they can get it all mended at no extra cost. Not fit for purpose and all that. Hope you have the spare room ready and a soft landing for the antipodean renovation team! You'll have to do a breakfast shift at work and quiz the loose lipped to find out who has decided to go into the scrap metal business.

We're wondering if our cavity wall insulation was done properly 2 years ago. There is a Bumble Bee nest entranced through one of the air bricks. I'm having to shoosh a BB out of the kitchen at least once a day. But as BB don't chew, they shouldn't have been able to get into the kitchen in the first place if the cavities have been properly filled. :-(

School has Ofsted coming Wed and Thurs. Deep joy. If they come into any of my exams I may have to kidnap them if they look at a paper - lol The school has lost the CRB paper work for one of my friends, so there has been frantic phone calls to replace her for the duration (for info CRB check = Criminal Record Bureau check to find out if you've been a naughty person and not permitted to work with children or vulnerable adults)

Ahh haa! CRB checks! The bane of our lives at work lol!! We all to have them and don't go anywhere near anyone except our colleagues. The ridiculous thing is, if a counsellor who works for both us and another company he/she has to have one for both places! Crazy! If you have a clean record, why won't one record do? Another money making racket!!

Just as well those problems have appeared so soon Maz, it's really hard to get people back after a few months. Best to get it sorted as soon as possible.

Glad she is ok The builders are here tomorrow for indoors the roofers i am not sure ,but they will be back .
I now need to look for a new phone downstairs as mine is flat it wont charge up luckily there is one working upstairs
then the washer is getting noisy and not spinning on a full wash

Knock, knock!!! Is this the complaints department? I have a complaint. It's about this thread.

It takes me a whole minute to scroll to the last post on the thread. If I am wobbly with my scrolling it talkes even longer.

Why can't I click on the upside down Post Date button and have it stay upside down. It goes back to right way up as soon as I leave.

Complaint over.

Another miserable day in paradise, weather wise. Photograph day at work. Should have had my hair painted. If I hold my chin up maybe the grey streak down the middle won't be noticeable.
We don't have group photos anymore. They take an individual photo of each person and put them together into a composite photo. Horrible. You can add in people even if they weren't there on the day.

We too have those checks - called CHS Criminal History Screening. In the last two years the powers that aren't have changed the way the checks are administered three times. Which reminds me I really should clean out my folder and just keep the current information. Oh bother, tomorrow will do.

Well that's enough grumbling for the morning. Off to work to wreak havoc around there for the day.
